I want to set up a Linux-Server for local playing, but I can't seem to get it right. I made sure that I have Java 17 for the current Version and because the bat-file wouldn't start with wine I did every step by hand. When I now start the last command I get a ton of Nullpointers in different Modpacks.

u might want to keep them still since u need to kill a minimum of 128 of the mob to get a level 1 spirit spawner, which has the same values as vanilla spawner

To sum it up 1.16 has much more content than 1.18
but 1.18 is a lot better performance and of course up to date
a lot of the mods from 1.16 are coming to 1.18.2
so I personally would reccomend 1.18

What are everyones thoughts on the crucial 2 vs better minecraft debate? Personally, I think Crucial 2 probably has more work put into it, and objectively higher quality, but I prefer Better Minecraft because of the feel of the smaller stuff, like fishing, farming, and mining.

to elaborate, the server i host and play on was running fine and then some issue happened where i had to redo the port forwarding, and when i loaded back into the server my map was blank as if i had just spawned in and all my waypoints were lost, but other than that it was fine

yes, some boss will not respawn iirc (like the netherite monstrosity), but you can find new ones. It depends on the # of ppl you invite. We are 3 on my serv and there are boss for everyone, just ask to not steamroll every non respawning bosses

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.
