That is for versions prior to v2.0.0 of the mod. Past v2.0.0 you need to sleep twice then find a structure in the plains biome with a radio inside that you double click on. It will temporarily take you to a dimension where you can collect loran then take you back to the Overworld.
This is disabled in BMC in favour of the player obtaining the portal materials via a quest. You can complete the quest after defeating the end dragon

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: If you want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods., add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.
Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Ultimerite is most certainly worth it
No fall damage, no drowning damage, no fire/lava damage, no wither damage, no poison damage, water/lava walking, piglins are neutral

@keen vine To allocate more ram to the server you're going to have to edit the .bat file inside the server pack. add in the line "java -Xmx*[GIGABYTE VALUE HERE]*G -jar SERVER_FILE_NAME.jar"
if you are hosting it locally, all you need to enter for a IP address is just 'localhost'
you'll have to stop and start the server to implement the changes made to the .bat

theres a recipe for the box you need to make and place at bedrock, you need to right click w/ a diamond in hand to use it once it's place. Right click again after to enter deep dark. if you want to return to deep dark you'll have to right-click it with a block of obsidian in hand to 'repair' it and then proceed with the diamond

it claims that chunk and all of it's subchunks (vertical)
you can also alter the privileges too. Make it so only the claimer can build, or even team mates if you are actually using FTBTeams
