The start files for the server packs don't ship with default jvm args, so your server instance is getting assigned an extremely low amount of ram by default

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: If you want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods., add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.
Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

It provides a lot of buffs which are too op especially void protection

Inocrythe with netherite fusion has better protection but the buffs it gives aren't that good as you see
Ultimerite provides you buffs like protection form effects like wither, poison. You can breathe underwater and damage is not reduced, you can swim in lava like you do in water with clear visiblity

If you're just looking at Abyss armour, I'd recommend;
Glacerythe helmet (netherite fusion): conduit power buff
Ignisithe chestplate: fire resistance buff
or
Incorythe chestplate (netherite fusion): strength buff
Unorithe leggings: speed buff
Unorithe boots: jump boost
If you find the jump boost annoying find the highest armour boots possible or boots from another with a buff that you like

Hi I was wondering if there was a way to download betterminecraft without needing curseforge since it needs another bloatware app overwolf to be running. The only other solution is gdlauncher but if there was a way to just manually be given all the mods in a zip which the manual install for betterminecraft doesn't seem to offer unless I'm mistaken ( just looked at the /overrides/config file)

Hey, I'm playing 1.18 and just wondering if there are any recommended shaders to use. Tried a quick search on the subject and mostly seeing people repeat questions about how to use them at all/using optifine. I've got them working with the stock shader setup and I've tried SEUS PTGI 3 but unfortunately seems like most of the lights that aren't sunlights don't show up with this modpack. so just looking for one/some that are nicer that will play nice with better minecraft

heya i just tried setting up my own server and i downloaded the 1.16.5 forge server pack, unpacked it in the servers mod folder and then started up the server, turned mc on via curseforge in 1.16.5 with the forge version selected and when i tried joining the server, it says ''connection closed - mismatched mod channel list''
i'm unsure if i'm supposed to download the server version of forge first, set everything up and generate a world and then drag the server pack of the mod in to the mods folder, or should i just download the mod server pack and that way set it all up?
