Can anyone help me out with FPS spikes on BMC? I have 10 GB allocated Ram, have my settings turned as low as possible, but whenever I'm moving around I get horrible spikes where FPS drops to like 2. Makes it really hard to do anything and frustrating to play. Is there a mod that traditionally causes this that I should disable?

Wouldn’t recommend moving a modded world from 1.16.5 to 1.18

1.18.2 for Forge in general is still lacking a lot of content, some mods from 1.16.5 may not even come out on 1.18 and skip to 1.19

i have a sample fix for my issue the bookshelf crafting

there is a folder for minecraft/scripts

#

in this folder there already is a file named 'recipes.zs'

#

i opened this file in a text editor and scrolled to the bottom

#

at the bottom of the file on a new blank line i pasted the following

Is Better Minecraft balanced compared to Better Minecraft Plus and medieval Minecraft? In Plus and Medieval, we got really OP within like 3 hours and I was wondering if Better Minecraft 1.16.5 is any different.

I think it is more balanced. You can still get pretty OP, but it just requires more work than the Plus edition. However, when I played it, I wasnt really exploring the overworld THAT much, and I think the new dungeons and loot can get you pretty OP pretty fast

you should be fine. minecraft is always backwards compatible with older versions. you'll just get weird worldgen when you go to unloaded chunks. probably

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: If you want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods., add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

i isolated the issue by creating a new local modpack for vanilla 1.16.5, installing forge 36.2.29 and copying just the Straw Golems 1.16-1.9 jar into the mods folder

i launch the game, give myself a pumpkin, place it in the world, then give myself some shears and click the shears onto the pumpkin

I have discovered that this pack does not appear to use optifine.

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: If you want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods., add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Use it with an enchanted book in anvil but do keep in mind that it increases the level only by one like if you got sharpness 5 then you'll get sharpness 6 costing 35 xp levels

For starters, Jadens xyz and Fresh Animations require Optifine, so don’t bother with those

Vanilla additions dark gui, ore variants, and infernal resources shouldn’t interact with each other, so order doesn’t matter for them

#

Stay True should be below Ore Variants if you want the ore textures from OV to work

The normal method for obtaining loran can be disabled in the config for The Abyss, and the crafting recipe for unstable obsidian is disabled by CraftTweaker, and the unstable obsidian is granted via FTB Quests

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: If you want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods., add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Should work, the centre pedestal looks for pedestals from its own mod and then checks the contents to see if it's a valid recipe
