Hey Switch. Is the default generation of BMC 1.18.1 v16 terralith? I noticed the server.properties file for the v16 server pack didn't have a level-type=default line in it so I just assume it's generating default.

Been looking for answers for awhile and can't find anything online. I'm playing BetterMinecraft 1.18.1 and Simply Soul Cages is in the pack, allowing for spawners to be mined and picked up. However, the mod on it's own is useless. It requires spawn eggs or additional mods to allow for Soul Cages (Spawners) to be filled in survival. Is there any way currently in the pack to do that?

Indeed, that's part of a mod instead since the world height can't be changed on 1.16.5, you'll need a light n dark to get into it, which you'll need to craft, after you do that, place it on bedrock and right click it with a diamond in your hand. That'll teleport your to the deep dark dimension, I do suggest having some pickaxes and decent gear as you'll be mining quite a bit along with fighting some warden mobs that have a decent health pool. You can meme them however by building a few blocks up and sitting out of their reach

To everyone having problems with Simply Soul Cages not having Spawn Eggs:
I am working on an addon mod for it, that allows obtaining Spawn Eggs/Souls. Please, be patient. I spent the better part of past 3 weeks literally rewriting the mod from scratch. My first implementation of the mod was terrible, I admit that. I also am working on a hotfix right now to improve compatibility with Apotheosis. Apotheosis has a way to obtain Spawn Eggs through the Spawner Module. The reason I made Simply Soul Cages is as a way of obtaining Spawners in survival. Spawn Eggs are out of the scope of THIS mod but there are other ways of obtaining Spawn Eggs using other mods. PLUS, if you have a mod that let's you obtain Spawn Eggs, you can move the Spawn Eggs from the Soul Cages to different Soul Cages.

Yeah sorry about that, my suggestion, make backups of the world every now and then, that way progress isn't lost
We actually have a backup mod in the pack already to assist with it too, head into the config folder, find the ftbbackups-common.toml file, edit 'backup_timer = 1440' to be a reasonable time, like one hour would be 'backup_timer = 60', by default it's set to one day so it's useless without configuring it first
I'd also suggest editing 'backups_to_keep = 12' to something lower if you are worried about hard drive space

i think you put the optifine.jar in the mods folder of your client, and then you put a shader.zip (like complementary) in the shaderpacks folder of your client. make the folder if it doesn't exist in the root. them you select it in-game in the options > video settings > shaders

You may but not sure, if CPU and such is a worry, I'd suggest trying GDLauncher or MultiMC

Couldn't find a download for the proper config file, I downloaded multimc but the only place I can get better mc is through curseforge even in the multimc launcher. Just gonna explore the modpacks from atlauncher and see what I can find that runs okay on my pc thank you muchly anyways Switch ❤️

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
For 1.18.1 Forge: Add OptiFine to the mods folder.
Remember to remove the required mods each update.

Well, what you need to do is dig all the way down to bedrock and break one of the blocks that says dimension stack, it'll take you to the deep dark, then to get out, you dig up and break the same block. If you ever update, the process for the deep dark is different on the latest versions since it's a different deep dark mod

bruh, im sorry but what the actual fuck happened? i come back up from mining, put all the ore sin a chest and then go farm some trees for woods, and now all my villagers are gone, is this a bug or something? i tried relogging and they are still gone
there is no possible way for mob to have killed them either

I dont see anything in the change logs for 1.18.1 that would entail having that feature removed, my guess, possible it was part of a mod that updated to remove it

Right? I can't figure out which mod it would have been. It used turtle eggs to craft simple things like zombie egg, skeleton egg, etc
then you could turn skeleton egg into a wither skeleton egg
Logically, i'd think it was simply soul cages, but looking through all info on that mod, there was never any way to get spawn eggs with it until recently
Which requires you to just copy a spawn egg from a current spawner

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.

One thing you can try is this:
• Go to saves\WorldNameHere\serverconfig in your instance's folder.
• Find the file named forge-server.toml and open/edit it.
• Scroll down to removeErroringEntities and change it from false to true
Should look like this after: 'removeErroringEntities=true'
This should remove that ticking entity

Alright, download the attached zip file, unzip it. Navigate to your config folder and find the 'ftbquests' folder, delete it and replace it with the downloaded one. Make it look exactly like the file path shown, don't include any extra folders. If you don't want to do that, you'll need to wait until Sharkie is online for him to upload a fixed version
