hey, tryna play 1.17.1 but upon adding optifine (alongside optiforge) it instantly crashes, magnesium wasn't in the pack when i first installed it and neither was dynamic lights, this is what GDL shows upon launching

I comepletely restarted the server folder and everything in it, and now I can boot a server but when I try and load into the server it gives me error code “Incomplete set of tags received from server. please contact server operator"

How should I fix this

If I remove all mods from my server folder and just connect from vanilla minecraft client then it works, how do I know which mods dont work

Im currently playing the 1.16.5 version of the modpack. Now for some reason my world is bugged in a way that if load it up its in some sort of weird state.

As you can see nothing I do affects the world and its just glitched. When I try to save and quit it's just getting stuck in the saving world screen.
Though when I load other worlds everything works just fine. I also reinstalled the modpack but it didn't help either.
Any ideas on how to fix this without loosing the world?

you would probably have to go into the files manually and find the chunk files and delte the ones that are corrupted

which is possible but best to watch a youtube video on how to do

U can just use the the mod options if u press escape, go to the vein miner mod > config > veinminer client > edit config > Vein Mining > activation state - edit > set to keybinding
if u do all this u can either select a key trough the normal controls or not set one at all

How do you make Copper Golems in 1.18.1? The Vanilla recipe doesn't work (I'm guessing because of the Copper Golem mod) and the instructions in the Cooper Golem mod don't work (I'm guessing because another mod is modifying the copper blocks?)

I have not seen those instructions anywhere. Vanilla had a T of 4 blocks with a carved pumpkin on top, the mod has a stair, a block, and a lightening rod but does not mention a carved pumpkin.

Typically for the most part, resource packs aren't really affected by the mc versions, there are changes done to the system on some updates of course, but for the most part, it's all good to use them

My suggestion, put together some mods in your own modpack and see how it goes, that's the best way to do it. Add in a few at a time, max they'll be able to allocate safely is 2gb, maybe 3 if they close everything else, and I mean everything

therefore you either need to refresh your Nether without the better Nether mod, or cheat in one using /summon

I personally just spawned a single one in using /summon

personally, I think the incorythe is better than ultimerite, not bcs of the armour values, but bcs I think it keeps the game somewhat balanced. ultimerite basically makes u invulnerable to the environment. can't take fall damage, no fire damage, don't drown, no poison

Alright, in the run.bat is the word java, you'll need to replace that with the path to your java 8's java.exe file in qoutes. For example, mine would be "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_291\bin\java.exe" and it would replace the word java in the run.bat

That's probably due to those generating in the vanilla biomes which better nether likes to bug out. I suggest removing better nether temporarily (or perma if you don't like it) and regenning your nether (delete the dim-1 folder inside the world folder and relogging).

Try this:
Add mixin.ai.nearby_entity_tracking=false to the to the rules.properties file in the roadrunner folder inside the config folder, it should look like this after:

Hey I have a question, I was playing 1.18 Better Minecraft and was able to see all of the available recipes I could make from my inventory in the little crafting menu on the left. I loaded up a separate version of Better Minecraft 1.16.5 and my recipes I can make aren't showing up in the crafting menu (I.E. I cant see stone pickaxes only wood even though I have materials for both. Is there something I'm missing here?

the abyss you need unstable obsidian which is obtained from killing the void worm
deep dark you need to make a light n dark portal and right click it with a diamond
twilight forest you need to make a 2x2 infinite water source, surround it with flowers and throw a diamond in

Running the server on your own PC isn't too hard if it can handle it. If not Bisect has been great for me and the 5-6 people I've been playing with for a few months.

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
For 1.18.1 Forge: Add OptiFine to the mods folder.
Remember to remove the required mods each update.
