open the mod folder by clicking "open mod folder" on your modpack in curseforge. if there isnt already, add a folder named exactly "shaderpacks" and you can put your shader zip files in there. you might need to install optifine aswell prior to that. there are many youtube videos that you can use to install optifine.

Shaders requires Optifine, which there's 2 mods to remove, as stated in the #faq. Then follow the normal Optifine/Shader process

One sec, I'll show you how, it's a bit hidden

also it's assuming you downloaded the pack from their directory, not by uploading a zip file

Right click the pack, click manage, go to the modpack tab on the left of the window that popped up, you'll get the version change screen that way, just select it on the dropdown menu and click switch version

The keybind should be the right one, but I haven't personally checked for BMC, so you may have to consult the controls screen for it

4. Edit the dimension line to be minecraft:overworld
5. Save and relaunch MC. Should put you in the overworld.
   If you don't mind sending your latest.log before you do that, I may be able to figure out what is going on without the need to do the above

Its not that optifine does not work well. I have tried it but if you face issues the helpers or admins might not be able to help you

Mostly because we can't really. OF's issues overall isn't something that there's an easy fix for most of the time (assuming another mod is at work too), it's either OF fixes or the mod author does. Only suggestion we can give with OF issues is remove OF.

i'm glad someone suggested adding quark oddities in the suggestions room, especially quark backpacks; there's nothing wrong with having multiple storage solutions of that sort; it's nice to have variety.

Well, what modpack launcher are you using? No idea why they wouldn't save from in game, but they definitely will if you edit the files directly

Right click the modpack in the my modpacks screen, click open folder, inside that newly opened folder is a folder called configs. In there are the config files for every mod that adds one in. Just open one of them in a text editor and edit the fields you want, saving afterwards.

Sadly can't find anything, and I forget what that error can be associated with, If those launchers don't work following the same steps to install OF, removing magnesium (extras included since it's useless with out magnesium which means wasted resources) and dynamic lights reforged, placing OF in the mods folder, etc, then might just have to not use it

I have a question to those that play all different versions of better minecraft: which version, 1.18.1 forge or 1.18.1 fabric, is catching up faster with the 1.16.5 forge version, given that it's the most complete one?

Due to the differences in forge and fabric in terms of what mods are offered, I wouldn't compare the two modloaders, the content is just different for the most part since not all forge mods offer fabric and vice versa

Top left of your inventory will be a map icon, click it, then top left of that is the same map icon, click it once more. On that screen, it'll show a small map of the chunks around you, left click the ones your storage system is on to claim them, after that shift-left click the same ones to force load. If you click the wrong one, you can unclaim/load with right click.

Claimed chunks will show as a color, and force loaded ones will have red lines going through it

That's not how you install the modpack, use a modpack app like curseforge, gdlauncher, or multimc for it, we have guides for whichever you choose in the #faq, I'd suggest either CurseForge's app or GDLauncher

That zip file is simply a guide for the apps I stated above

It's all good, pretty much every modpack will not support you due to the laws around piracy and violations of mojang's ToS, so best to just buy mc once you can.
