I'm gonna guess the launcher is having issues with your account for some reason. Those options only show for accounts that haven't bought mc, but as you said you have, there's an issue for Mojang to help with. I'd double check what account you are logged in with on the launcher, try migrating your account to a microsoft one, since you'll have to do that eventually this year anyways.

At the moment, I've resorted to opening to LAN, enabling cheats, and then teleporting using the minimap waypoints at the location of my broken waystones. But this feels kinda cheaty, and certainly isn't an option for my server.

There are no "chunk loader items" that I'm aware of, but I believe there is a way to pre-generate chunks to avoid lag when exploring, if that's what you're referring to

I installed a chunk loader mod, so that I could keep chunks loaded as that was a functionality I was after

I've probs figured out why they aren't working, related to that config I listed above. Turned it to true and it worked, gonna retest with it on false

If not, do a fresh install for the client, and upload the correct FTB quests config folder to the server.

Delete the mod "magnesium" and "dynamiclightsreforged-mc1.16.5_v1.0.1.jar", add optifine and the shader. It will take much longer to load (at least for me) and you cannot enter the twilight forest (unless you copy the original mods back and get rid of optifine)

What's going on with mobs rendering (server v52.0)? Sorry, but I was fiddling around for like 2 hours straight. Though what I did at the very beginning is that I entirely removed map & config folders, let them to regenerate on it is own and then uploaded a config folder provided with the modpack itself. Then I updated Abyss mod, changed some values in config and ultimately it just..worked.

Overall, you'll probs need to find a very very light version of any modpack to have a decent experience on 3gb max of ram.

So to answer, no there's not a lite BMC that will fulfill that requirement unless you modify it to have less mods and need less ram overall

On the CF website, click on the v9.5 file. Click download rather than install. It'll download the zip file

After that, click 'create custom profile' in the top right of CF's app. Top of that UI will be an 'import' button, click that and select the downloaded zip

Now you have v9.5 downloaded. You'll have to transfer your world over and options.txt

Easier option would be wait for CF to update their app

No problem, once the v9.5 is on CF's app, I'd update your existing v9 profile that way you can just directly update from that one. Custom profiles, which is what that process uses, aren't connected to the modpack's updates so you have to manually update everything or create a new profile each time.

Hello, where can I find info on how to update a modpack world into a newer version? (I'm trying to update from better mc forge v51 to v52.5)

in my last attempt everything looked good but the bedrock blocks were all gone, I'm also missing deepslate, is there any workarround or any way to update a world that has been created in v51 to the newer version?

Given the disclaimer, it may be quite difficult. But you may be able to generate a new world in the newest version, load you old world in MCEdit and transplant things

I have only done very minor stuff, so I am not sure how well it will work. But if a block has changed IDs or was removed all together, there isn't much you can do other than re-building the world in MCEdit, with WorldEdit, or creative

So my, low-level understanding, of how modpacks are managed is as such:
The mods are compiled into the game via a mod Loader (Forge or Fabric)
When mods are alone, all of the items, blocks, mobs, biomes, etc. have IDs associated with them
When mushed together without a mod loader, things go south very fast due to conflicts (IDs and many other things)
This de-conflicting happens whenever a mod is added or removed.
Typically, with some high level finessing I am sure, a small addition or removal can be done without displacing things
But in a much larger update, it is very near impossible to de-conflict everything as well as maintain everything from before and this is done in a very non-deterministic way (I think)

So there can be a fix for it, but it requires a lot of effort on the pack maintainers' part.

If you don't reset your world you'll corrupt the savegame/server and bosses, entities start to spawn in the overworld.```

So this is a case of "well, you can" but the world will be cursed beyond recognition if you try to play on it and/or will become un-recoverable due to conflicts and curruptions

My suggestion would be to take your entire world and other accompanying player data and make a backup copy and then just see what happens 😅 Personally, I would heed the warning, but if it is a world you really want to keep, then go for it as long as you are confident in your back-up abilities

So, this is mostly a shot in the dark but based on other things:
Players have a data file that stores stuff about them as a user such as position in the world, inventory, levels, etc. I forget if each player has there own or if it is all in some players.dat
Some times mods have a folder that contains their own data per players, Waystones may do this, not sure.
In either case, if they are a new player, you might be able to just duplicate one of those (however makes sense for the scenario)

Unless you mean the minimap waypoints

then I think those are client-side stored, so there will need to be some file sharing involved, but same concept

The shader system is only included on the fabric pack because iris can be added to the pack by modpack devs

But on forge, until we get a separate shader system outside of optifine, we're out of luck
