Hey, some friends and I are playing the 1.17.1 Forge version on our own server. Another friend who would like to play now finds the last version for 1.17.1 (v11.5) only under the old versions of 1.8 and has downloaded it there. When starting via the launcher, the game keeps crashing with exit code 0. Minecraft vanilla works. Are there any known problems?

But when i unzip the serverpack i missing defaultconf folder. When i run the forge-1.18.1 installer it does not create minecraft 1.8 server jar file. Also when running the Bat it wont create the eula. Seams like something wont install or unzipp correctly but tryed different unzippers. also updated jdk but cant get it to create all the files im needing? Can someone help

Every once in a while when launching Better Minecraft 1.16.5 (Forge) through MultiMC it fails to launch with a list of mods (different each time) giving 'java lang arrayindexoutofboundsexception', it doesn't happen every time and ending the instance and relaunching usually resolves it. Does anyone have the same experience? Any resolution?

Would seem i'll be getting nowhere tonight because even if i could get a log from him like latest.log he said he's "not troubleshooting tonight" and has gone off to make a vanilla server instead. all i tried was to add macaws, create, and a grave mod since we wanted to play with create and i like macaws mods.

Hey this is probably a dumb question but figured I'd try:
My mom built in a taiga on a server I run starting at version 46. I updated to 49 today to resolve the log4j exploit and she is now not happy because her lake and rivers are all frozen and there's the "cold breath" effect.
I think taigas are supposed to be like that but it wasn't before on this pack at least, can anyone tell me what caused this? A mod? A config change?

That's normal, it'll show a lower amount than you allocated because part of it is allocated to other things that aren't shown, like if you allocate 6gb, it'll show somewhere along the lines of 5.6k or something if I remember right.

Hi, hope everyone is doing well. I was just wondering, I am playing Better Minecraft 1.16.5 on my server (hosted somewhere else not on my pc) and I am using optifine and I am trying to play with Shaders. I thought that I had a cpu bottleneck causing my fps to be horrible at about 30 - 50 fps with Sildurs vibrant lite because I have a Ryzen 5 1600 cpu and an RX 6600 XT GPU and 32GB of ram and I have assigned 15gb but my cpu is using roughly 23% and my graphics card is using 25%. If anyone knows a solution to this low fps issue or if there is a different reason to my low fps I would greatly appreciate if someone could help. Thank you :D

Hey, everyone was able to play on my Minecraft Server (Hosted from my PC), for a decent amount of time, however everyone is now getting this error (in the console):

That's the mc version, not the modpack version

It may be related to a crash that got fixed on the latest update, so I may have a fix depending on what version.

Sweet, here's the fix: remove restored earth, it was the cause of an error like that if I remember right, I believe it has to be removed from all clients and the server. Or update to v50 and have everyone do that.

Hey guys, I downloaded the Better Minecraft 1.16.5 on Curseforge, and I deleted that Magnesium mod and put optifine into it.. but ever since my game just doesn't load.. So I deleted the modpack and will redownlaod it.. is there something I am doing wrong? I put 8gb of ram into the launcher aswell.

Any recommendations for killing the Blue Skies Summoner? I have full diopside with prot 4, golden apples, regen and strength potions but his minions always overwhelm me once the halfway mark is met.
All other bosses other than arachnarch and he are easy.

Depends, some people report better frames with magnesium, others with Optifine. personally both do the same for me since my computer doesn't really struggle.

Hello guys. I and my friend have a problem. So we have a better minecraft server and we havent played in a long time we also had a lot of backpacks when we last played but now they are all gone. We searched everywhere but we cant find them.

By a long time, I'm guessing you probably played back when sophisticated backpacks was in the pack (v43 and below). It was removed in v44 and up in favor of another backpack mod. Sadly unless you have a backup of the world prior to updating, you've lost them permanently.

If that's prior to v44, it might work if you take it and upload it into your own client and take everything out first. But then you might run into the issue of their file limit and have to work through other things
