In config select Keybind to trigger it.
In options -> controls -> vein mining -> set to F10

run the AutoHotkeyScript in the background (save file as <name>.ahk, install ahk and run it with mc)

pressing 'V' will trigger a toggle on F10 (you can change it anything you want) which will toggle vein mining

Heyo, just launched in and firstly the modpack is really great! However I've seen a couple of issues and was wondering if someone could help.

One is that the footprints aren't visible if I look down

Another is that the waterfall particles or maybe the sound causes extreme lag when there's a bunch of falling water, not sure what I can turn off to reduce that?

Also just wondering if it's worth it to use the fresh animations or Jaden's Nether resource packs, and if so where to put them in the load order

The usual Direct Connect button, allowing you to directly fill in an IP, doesn't exist in the client. You'll have to press the "Add Server" option on the bottom right, and fill in a server name and ip there. I might be misunderstanding your problem, though.

Hey all, thanks for being here.

I've been enjoying this pack (Forge version) and was hoping to add Optifine to the newest version.
The newest version is forge 36.2.9, and the the available optifine's for 1.16.5 only go up to 36.1.0.

I tried the 1.16.5's as well as the 1.17's and all of them crash the game at launcher.

Any tips would be super helpful.

Couldn't find any resources regarding Nether Agriculture for that Health Steal and Poison Blade enchantments so I experimented a lot and found out for some of you guys.

First things first, for some reason the recipe for knives from Nether Agriculture is disabled by default. You can re-enable them in your recipes.zs file in your modpack directory (modpack-directory\scripts) with notepad and searching for nether agriculture.

For example, a similar line like this:
craftingTable.removeRecipe(item:netheragriculture:knife);

To add it back in the game, just delete the whole line with the item.

Nether crops are only farmable in the Nether, so don't bother farming them in the Overworld as they won't grow or breed. Most plants can be bonemealed, except for the final stages of required breeding plants. It takes a god forsaken long time to farm.

Once you breed and grow the required plants, you'll be able to craft the respective runes with the enchantments (Health Steal & Poison Blade).

You use the tool and the rune in an anvil. If you want higher levels, you need to use throwaway tools to enchant first and transfer the enchantment to a book using a grindstone as books cannot be enchanted with the runes. Mix two books of the same level to get a higher enchantment before finally enchanting the tool you want with the leveled up enchantment (Health Steal III etc.).

Forge has more mods available, but Fabric gets updated more quickly. While it's currently better to pick Forge, I'd still recommend you try out Fabric mods. There are a lot of amazing mods out there

A few people on my server are having this issue as well, enchantments with single levels (Mending, Silk Touch, etc.) disappearing and enchantments with multiple levels (Unbreaking, Looting, etc.) downgrading to lower versions. Step 1: Download optifine into the modpacks mod folder
Step 2: Remove magnesium from the modpacks mod folder
Step 3: Optifine has tons of guides of how to install shaderpacks

I havent used them personally with this modpack (not 100% sure if they'd kill my laptop XD), but Complementary shaders and BSL look nice

I personally prefer the visual of complementary most of the time

Anybody knows how to tweak spawn rates for certain mobs? My base is set in a Dark Forest but Illager spawns are just ridiculous in that biome!
