Delete the folder as stated in the announcement and then make sure to switch over your save world. As well as that I suggest making a backup in case of corruption

Server's have capped render distance per player

#

You're not rendering anything as a player except textures and stuff but the server renders it

#

so if server is capped at say 10 you'll be able to see 10 chunks out even with 100 render distance

Altho chunks the server have rendered for you youll be able to see

If ur planning on making it a public server tho, pro tip cap that at 10 at most you don't want ur server to render 1000's of chunks per player

ah, honestly your good with netherite, only thing i'd enchant is a sword and bow for extra damage, i used the infinity water bucket too to get to the end crystals but no idea why the pack removed it

it's frustrating making a mob farm just so at night mobs can spawn in the walls and fall outside of it (And yes, the ceiling is spawn proof, the mobs are literally spawning IN the walls/ the walls face, i saw that happen in a cave more times than i wanted to)

So found the issue, the 1.17.1 mod Restored Earth is spawning it's mobs on Air

#

Especially the freaking Vile Witches and Bouldering Zombies

#

but not anywhere, only places that are obstructed by sky and light

#

so i have a floating farm, and at night the mobs from that mod simply spawn bellow it and fall to their deaths on the ground

i think the developer forgot to check if the area without light was freaking Air >->

hey, i have a problem with upgrading the server; here are steps that i made:

i downloaded all of server files
i downloaded new server package from curseforge
i installed the server locally as it would be a new one
i moved the downloaded world directory to new local server installation, and removed the DIM1 directory
i created a new minecraft profile with v43
i run the local server and logged in using v43 profile

all of this checked out fine; however after i uploaded new server files to the host and i am trying to connect to it using v43 profile client i am getting the "failed to synchronize registry data from server, closing connection" error message.

any tips?

EDIT:
i figured it out; it was my mistake as i uploaded new files on top of old ones, which caused some mods to be duplicated in different versions.

i did however found out that there are 2 mods missing from v43 server package that were present in v42.5 server package and are still present in the v43 client package; not sure if that was intentional, but here they are:

Yeah, one of the best ways that i am aware of is to build an enderman farm

You can also pick up spawners and move them to one place. Then you can make a killing area if you dont have the resources to build the endermen farm

I recently purchased a server from EXTRAVM and I'm having a hard time converting the server I was hosting locally onto the Extravm server

every time I tried to join it gave me an error message stating: "incomplete sets of tags received from server"

What item allows you to combine infinity and mending on the same bow? I remember seeing the item about a week ago in NEU and it said it would allow the combination of all conflicting enchants except for protection enchants. Anyone know? If you do please dm me it ty!

Yes, I normally copy the whole folder in a backup drive then copy the "world" folder into the new server installation, be sure to delete the "DIM1" folder in the new server install

For those that don't like the snow in biomes that normally don't have it, it's called Serene Seasons, it adds in seasons to mc and during winter, pretty much all biomes except for swamps and jungles and mod biomes that have similiar settings to those will get snow. If you do not wish to have that, then easy way to stop it is to just delete it (I don't believe anything is dependent on it). Snow! Real Magic! is just a cosmetic mod that lets snow stack onto stairs and fences and the sort.

I was playing around and spawned the Alchemist in my cave base. He fell into lava and is now in a state of both existing and not existing. Schrödinger’s Alchemist, if you will. I can’t place blocks or mine, but I can’t find him anymore. Can’t find him in creative, either.

you cant join because your files arent matching, the falling leaves part has nothing to do with it. you need to use the same version of the serveprack that matches your modpack
