I've found that Nether mobs are weird because even if they spawn in different biomes, they still affect other mobs in other biomes. I found this out when adding Nether mobs

So a few friends and I have created a server with the otv edition. We really like the interaction of the mods. However, we would like to have a chunk loader and the ability to store XP. For storing XP I thought of "GlobalXP" and for the chunk loader "ChunkLoaders". Is it basically possible to add mods for our private server and if so, can I look in advance whether the desired mod is compatible with the others?

If you are on the network you use a internal IP, if you are external to the network you use a external IP with port forwarding, or you use hamachi, but then you need to make sure thats allowed via the firewall etc and that you are using your hamachi IP address then. this is basic networking and not really related to this modpack or any mod pack for that matter

Does the block diversity get better in v27? Since moving to v25 the only blocks, outside of various ores, to find have effectively been just Stone, Deepslate, Clay, Sand, and dripstone. Things like Scoria, Marble, Slate, etc are just gone.

A friend and I are getting " io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection Timed Out: No further info" error when trying to play on our server, other friends on that server have no issues playing.

The ways we've tried to solve it:

• Opened firewall fully
• Reset router and flushing/renewing DNS
• checked through WINMTR to see if packets are getting sent at all (sometimes, during the periods we can play, then it instantly stops sending packets).
• Fixing with DHCP and also trying a static IP for our computers.

Would this just be an issue with our ISP (feels weird for it to be ISP related, since other internet services and games works correctly without hiccups), or is there something we might've missed trying?

Alright, so I've tried two survival worlds so far. The same thing has happened in both. I play for 8 or more hours with perfect performance, and then I die (usually between the 3 and 5th time), and horrible lag spikes kick in. It literally makes it unplayable. I tried restarting and everything, but the lag spikes will not go away. My computer is pretty solid so I can't see that being the issue, and I adjusted all of the graphics settings in an attempt to counteract it. No effect.

This modpack is super fun, so I really want to find a fix.

The lag spikes are literally the game periodically just going 0 fps for two seconds and then going back for another 5 seconds and then going back. It's painful.

K so i had to delete Morpheus from the modpack, it was causing sleep cycles to go forward anywhere between 1-10 days at a time. Not sure why this is.

Not only that but it was causing cycles to end up at the same time when sleep was initiated, basically eternal night time.

I run a gtx 1660 super with a ryzen 5 3600x and allocate 6gb like the website says, but I'm lucky if I get 50 fps on 10 chunk render distance with a super annoying fog constantly as well. Seems like the issue is related to the seasons mods and the Morpheus mod interacting. I don’t have a solution rn but the devs are aware of it so it will probably be ironed out at some point.
From what I understand it’s that the winter season has a different length for either the day or night cycle and it’s causing Morpheus to loop out of control because it never can technically set it to “day”. Best thing I can suggest is to manually change the season on the server to avoid it from happening.

Hold a totem of undying (the diamond or straw one, doesn't matter) in one hand, and that one in the other hand. Right click will put a charge into the totem. When you "die" the charge pops. 🙂
