Mergon is probably the best armor in terms of ease of acquisition to power ratio, until the Ocean Expansion Mod's new (or upcoming) update is included in the future version of Better Minecraft

Weapon wise, I've been using Phanterite (Netherite + Phanterite Ingot) Swords. The other netherite fusion swords give a lot of different damage bonuses, but Phanterite gives you longer reach, which lets you cheese most of the melee mobs in the game, especially if your sword also has knockback II.

Honorable Mention to the Maudit Bone Sword from the Cursed Realm. 13.5 Hearts base damage with a good attack speed is pretty unmatched for early/midgame progression. With Illager's Bane VIII enchant, I was 3 shotting the Illager King. (You'll need to install "Molten's Iron Rod API" to craft the Maudit weapons though, as Better Minecraft's current version does not include it, and its needed to craft the Maudit Bone Rod to make the sword)

I'm on v25.5 of cursed realm, there are tall stone towers on the surface, with each floor containing a bunch of spawners. At the top, Wither Skeletons riding phantoms spawn, those are the ones that have a chance to drop the bow. It might have been an update to cursed realm's mod inbetween 23.5 and 25.5 of better minecraft.

Anyone try adding the TrashSlot forge mod to this modpack? Whenever I try the trashslot doesn't show up on the inventory screen, BUT if i remove Quark the TrashSlot does show up in the inventory. Not sure if there's a setting I can adjust in Quark to allow the trashslot to show up while still using Quark.

you could play around with the better caves config in order to get something you like-

Mouse's tweaks breaks it you can fix it, in the config for your game for mousetweaks the first option in the config is somthing to do with right mouse turn the 1 into a 0

If you are playing single player or have control of your server's config, you can edit the "Easymagic-common" config to auto refresh enchantments every time you open and close the enchant table interface. Its one of the options under [easy_enchanting]

There is also an option to show the actual full result of your enchanting roll, not just the lowest roll every time. So no more gambling. Good option for a pack that is still actively being developed and updated since world resets will probably be common every month or two as new content is added

The thing with optifine is that it increases loading time and it doesn't enjoy you alt tabbing or clicking on it

So you just need to do something else on the side while it does it thing

Pickaxe breaks them, but you can carry them (slowly) by having an empty offhand and mainhand, and shift + right clicking them
