I'm sorry if I'm coming across is an antagonistic way, it's unintended if I am. I'm just trying to learn. Is needing a new world for an update a common thing, or is this an outlier because of a previously unknown to be faulty mod?

A new world isn't required but all your cave blocks from darker depths will disappear meaning its going too look bad/mess with your world. So you can still update with no issues expect your world will look messed up

#

So if you want to use v25 make sure to add darker depths back so you don't mess up your old world but it comes with issues from that mod that was fixed in v24

Darker Depths causes a crash with the oceanographer and doesnt spawn ocean monument and mansion while also freezing the whole world when trying to locate it.
Plenty of people complained not being able to find a ocean monument '

Alright y'all I need a bit of idea help lmfao. I'm building a mega base and I have ideas for all the farms that I want except one. My base is quite symmetrical so I need the final one. I have my food farm, my sugar cane farm, bamboo farm, melon and pumpkin farm, kelp farm, iron farm, player activated raid farm, obsidian portal gold farm, and four different mob farms using spawners that I have collected. You can disenchant with the grindstone I think if I remember correctly but the enchantment is lost and you cannot get rid of curses

I tried to get help yesterday about my console getting spammed with "Skipping Entity with id ", and it seems to make the server stutter a bit, but we weren't able to figure out a solution. dig down to deep dark get diamond pick from quest, strip mine for a bit and you will get a stack of diamonds, make full diamond, and then settle down in a base

depends, you can start out small with about a radius of 200-400 chunks (which generates in like 5000-ish blocks in every direction from where you started)

But the more you pregenerate, the more ram it'll take and more disk space it'll require to write the world

a pregenerating job with a radius of 500 chunks or more will definitely lag your server and it'll occasionally time out and require a restart (which then resumes generating). can be a little troublesome but it works wonders if you do a lot of exploration

it doesnt load the chunk (your server would die lol). it works similar to how you'd just fly around manually to generate a chunk but within reason

with chunk pregenerator you can do expansion jobs, so say today you just wanna generate a radius of 100 chunks from spawn

The next day you can start anothere job from the 100th chunk to the 250th chunk
