So starting the modpack is fine, but when I put in optifine, using the G7 or G8 version, the game does not start at all. Increasing ram didnt help either. Any reason why this is happening?

Yeah. Removing it, I can load in after it does the mod stuff within 30 seconds, with optifine, it just freezes and does notihng. I let it sit for like 10-15 mins but still nothing.

There is a bug im getting where when I place a bed down and try to sleep in it I'll be teleported to another bed somewhere completely different and be given a "Advancement Book" and then when I try to sleep on that bed, I'll be tped to the original spawn point made when I started the game. Second to this one. However, we observe that once we have our bed set to be the spawn point, it will TP us to somewhere, then TP back to the bed. Also it almost only happen when I click the bed during day time. However, we don't lose any items

technically I did lose items because I set up a home and put my items in a chest (all my diamonds, gold, iron, everything valuable) then tried to sleep at night then lost everything

If you read the mod description page for chlorine on Curseforge you'd see that it is incompatible with Optifine and is an experimental beta version.
Chlorine/Sodium/ whatever other performance mods are generally mutually exclusive because all of them affect the rendering system on a deep level

the modpack is heavy so unless you get a beefier server or spend some money on a hosting service its not gonna happen

Using 22.5, oracle JDK 8, commonly see these types of errors pop up in various mods (at least 5 different ones so far) when starting the pack via MultiMC:

I'm trying to change veinmining to use crouching instead of standing, but when i adjust the config file my world crashes when trying to start back up. I'm in a singleplayer world that i've opened to lan previously. the crash report says "Failed loading config file veinmining-client.toml". when i reset the config file back to the original, it runs fine. I've also tried to run /veinminer mode sneak in game per the comments on the mod's page on curseforge but the game says it's an unknown command. anyone else had this issue?

You could try setting the world to peaceful if they count as hostile they should be removed and it should prevent a crash due to that mob at least

Could be either your connection or the servers' lagging
It could also be client/server cpu bottlenecks

@boreal pagoda You shouldn't. You should pregen the world when nobody's online. By trying to pregen the world when people are online will slow down the pregen unless you configure it that way, but the world itself would still lag due to rendering new chunks like normal players would when they render chunks fast.

Following up on this. Disabling optifine G8 does not fix the invisible frog and another entity in the swamp biome, but it definitely fixed the lag with illagers. The lag is basically nasty stuttering that drops frames to 0-10 from like 150 while around any kind of illagers. Could this be an issue with the modpack itself or is something wrong with my optifine?

If you are getting mismatched mod channel list and you are on the right version, delete the profile and search the modpack and click on it then go to versions and manually click the install button for the correct version

the problem is its still tryna load it, so either you remove the mod comfortable nether or delete your player data from the server and delete the dimension dolfer to reset it back to normal

Hey, I've got a question about the modpack
So i'm playing with my partner on Lan and we have tried to make an enderman farm in the end using the endermite method, but everytime we go to the bottom of the 'farm', the enderman won't spawn on top. I've tried configering the entity limitation mod thing, but nothing i'm trying is working. Any tips?

Performant is most likely preventing mob spawns to prevent lag
you can try to remove the mod but it is generally not recommended because of the considerable performance increase

the only other thing I could see affecting Enderman farms is
#Entity dynamic update distance setting, reduces the entities own update range from players at which entities get slowed down, in chunks(16blocks). The higher you set this, the closer to the player entities will get slower updates. Default = 0
#Range: 0 ~ 1000
but I am not quite sure how to set that parameter
