im not a moderator or anything like that but most modpacks need at least 4gbs. This one seems to run the best at 6gbs so maybe try increasing the amount of ram allocated

Hey, I have just downloaded the modpack and am having some issues.

The loading times are about 5 minutes long and a "Java Platform SE Binary has stopped workings" error occurs about 90% of the times I have launched the game from CurseForge but the mod pack runs smoothly if no crashes occur. I am downloading for my younger brother and he is very upset the mod is not working. I hope you can help me 🙂

if your brother doesnt have a good pc, loading time with optifine will always take that long, when it stops responding you can press wait and it should load. If you want a short loading time then remove optifine

My brother is using my gaming laptop, my laptop can run minecraft at a average of 100+ fps. I suppose I can remove optifine. I also have a weird interface upon launching the game, it shows statistics like memory and also a log of the loading of mods which did not appear in the tutorials i found online. Thank you, if any other issues appear I will put it here and hopefully you can help me again.

basically miss out on mods/resource packs using optifine, he can still use optifine just that it will take a while to load. also make sure to allocate more ram and if your not using optifine make sure you arent using the fresh animations resource pack

I read the FAQ and it suggests around 5-9GB of ram, is that also applicable to a modded server? I currently have a 6GB server with about ~8-10 people (with the world pre-generated), but there still seems to be lag issues. Wanted to get some input before having to resort to a larger server.

nether and end dont really matter as they dont lag tps as bad as overworld. having too many people can cause tps lag that why pregenning a lot of blocks it necessary but just try and remove alex mobs and adding the performant mod to see how it goes

if you pregen i recommend setting the world border to 10K then pregen the inside of it, should take like 6 hours but there should be 0 tps lag inside that border

Oh I see. What pre-gen would you recommend? I used the one that Bisect recommended (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/world-pre-generator) and with a radius of 1000 chunks that took like 10 days

On a kind of a different topic, I noticed that there were areas where biomes/environments had very sharp cut offs. I initially assumed it was just a byproduct of a modpack that changed world generation quite drastically, but I want to double check if that is indicative of something wrong on our end

Leave it, it takes longer to load when you add optifine. don't tab out don't click anything just let it load.
It's supposed to freeze data, and it can take a couple minutes to load.

I'm trying to play on mac and i'm encountering a few problems. firstly my game freezes for about two second intervals, unfreezes for half a second, then repeats. I have allocated up to 9gb of ram but my computer says i'm not using more than normal. the second problem is that when running the modpack, it opens a window which cannot be moved around the screen or between monitors. I have tried both fabric and forge versions of the mod.

The reason why it's different to other packs is cause they are limited to what the fabric API gives, doing it trough the fabric loader gives you the latest updates on all the mods and much more content

That's just optifine in itself, it takes longer to load but does wonders for your game.

if you have optifine installed try going to details and turning your trees to smart or fast, it might make a difference

Hi, I am having some problem hosting and playing a LAN game. Basically I have a Mac and a PC, both have Better Minecraft installed from CurseForge. The Mac joining the PC-hosted game will always display "Internal server error" during the "loading terrain" step. If I host on the Mac and join from the PC the same thing happens. When playing other modpacks there are no problem.

lads, I hosted better minecraft forge on a bisect hosting server, and a friend of mine joined and found 2 bugs.

in a village, all the villagers and iron golems are merging against each other and they push you quite far if you go near them.
After my friend got killed by an iron golem, he lost all his hearts and is technically dead, but the confusing part is, he didnt. he's immune to dying and can kill anything without grabbing mob aggro and can even kill me whilsti cant kill him. He disconnected and still has the same problem too.

I reinstalled the modpack and fixed most of it. But I can list some I went through:

the villagers and iron golems were merged together in one spot and wouldn't move (fixed by reinstalling the modpack)
A friend of mine joined the server and after dying, he had 0 hearts but still was able to move around and attack mobs and players. he had this "getting hit" animation where you screen tilts, but it stayed tilted as if its being spammed lol. (idk if I fixed it yet I just made a new server)

^ also he was unkillable with the /kill command too. And even disconnecting didn't solve it.

I have not encountered any of those issues on my server, as for optifine either use the one linked on the modpack page or the preview version.

You have a good setup AAA, allocate 8gb of ram to play and if you have issues with fps download optifine thunk
