I spawned in two jobless villagers, they didn't have a job but they still wouldn't take the bread. I have had villagers before and gave bread to unemployed villagers and they took it. Are you sure there is not a mod thats making this happen?

Im just dumb, any process that takes random ticks dosent work without a play close, even in loaded chunks. Spawn chunks work fine. Furnace keeps going forever, but my sugarcane farm will not. oops lol

Both single player and a server hosted on the same machine. The issue is especially prominent on these sand-ish caves, but also elsewhere. Again, maybe the spawn rate is just really low and I had the wrong expectations

im having an issue with my server freezing whenever i get to the nether. i can move around and stuff but not interact with anything, and when i try to reconnect to the server it says its offline, even though my server hosting website says it is. it also takes a few tries pressing the stop button for it to force kill the server, because it's not taking the stop command or something. it doesnt show anything in the log other than the server running behind message

So I've been going around doing /killall and checking out and the lush caves from the backport mod do spawn mobs, just less frequently because of light and some blocks they can't spawn on. (halfblocks and whatnot)
However DarkerDepths sandy catacombs does not spawn anything, could be a biome config problem.

I'm starting to think the server didn't restart properly after the pregen.

I downloaded the server and client files at the same time from the curseforge launcher, but for some reason when I try to connect to the server through localhost I get a "mismatched mod channel list" error and cannot connect. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would probably recommend posting with the mod dev, at the bottom of the mod page they list an issue tracker and a discord. Hopefully they can assist with more specifics.
I think a lot of dimensions with custom skys have issues though with optifine, so it may not be fixable. Instead you may need to mess around with shader settings and/or try with different shaders. Some have varying effects oon sky rendering

With th "aquisition" enchant it gives us the item, so it's not a lag thign, we can access chests etc just fine, but whether we drop an item out of our hand, break a block, kill a mob, etc, items just.. dont drop. thegamerule doTileDrops is set to true.
