Is there any way to remove an enchantment from one armor piece and apply it to another?

Hey at the onemt i want to play Better MC (NEOFORGE) BMC5 on a server now my Problem ist that Curseforge installes 369 Mods out of 370 mods and i dont know what to to
Ty
Use a reliable launcher:
If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Is there any way to translate the pack into Spanish?
A lot of manual effort
Maybe then
Since updating to V50 of Better MC 5, my keybinds keep resetting after reloading the game. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Afaik no fix?
So, it's a known bug then?
Yes
Confirm, I'v enot seen a fix, other than maybe putting the file as readonly in the system
Oh, thank you :,v
Follow our guide:
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
Having issues joining server
Please share server side logs
Instruction:
to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> āOpen Folderā.
- ATLauncher -> Click āOpen Folderā on the modpack instance.
- MultiMC -> Select your instance and click āInstance Folderā on the right.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click āFolderā on the right.
- For servers -> Open the folder containing your server files.
To find the latest.log file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the hs_err_pid.log file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder. (this file type is not as common in crashes - do not worry if you cannot find it, just skip over this line.)
To find a crash report, navigate to the crash-reports folder and find the most recent file after your crash occurred.
Once located, please upload the requested file here. If it fails, upload to https://mclo.gs/ and share the link here.
I have this same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this (I know that adding mods may cause issues but I would like to use it if there is a fix)?

do you have like a speaker or headphone plugged in
any audio device
Yes, a headphone connected via Bluetooth
try disabling the headphone
What do you mean? Turning them off? How is that related with the crash? š¤
some audio devices crash the game sometimes
we can't really be bothered to search why but
seems like its a vanilla thing
Mmm interesting... I mean, I don't have any troubles with that, just curious how that is related
If I understand, that could also happen if i plug my headphone via USB, right?
no clue
the crash is incredibly niche and only happens to like
a handful of players a year
and each time it (at least seems like) a different product or type of device so
I personally at least don't really know what the cause is or if there is a fix other than just disabling the device
idk if any other staff member knows more but
Alright, some kind of workaround haha, but I am ok with that, I hope that someone here knows more about it
Thank you so much @near egret

ā ļø Essential Mod Not Supported
We strongly recommend against using Essential with our modpacks, and we add a warning screen during modpack startup containing the following message by default. A free world-sharing alternative is already built-in called Luna - click Share World in the game menu to use it.
Why we don't support Essential:
-
Technical issues: We've received multiple user reports of problems when combining Essential with our modpacks, including reports of world corruption. While there is no conclusive evidence of Essential as the definite cause, we do not have the development or support capacity to resolve issues potentially caused by it.
-
Security concerns: Essential's auto-updater introduces potential security risks that are outside of our control.
-
Ethics: We object to Essential's inclusion of in-game currency and microtransactions in an otherwise free modding environment.
If you choose to use Essential anyway
Please understand that you do so at your own risk and will not be eligible for support from our team. To remove this warning, you can open your modpack instance folder, navigate to config/crash_assistant/problematic_mods_config.json, and under essential-container, change should_crash_on_startup from true to false. On newer modpack versions, this is replaced by a migrated .jexl in the same location, which you can also open in a text editor then simply delete the section for Essential.
I've been playing on a server with BetterMCv50 but recently I'm getting the same error message when attempting to join that says io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Failed to decode packet 'clientbound/minecraft:custom_payload' what is the way to fix this?
i downloaded everything the modpack asked me to download and i still cant play whats the reason
If it's crashing - follow the video
it isnt crashing it just keeps telling me to download the resource packs and mods even after i did
Which launcher are you using?
?
!modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
oh i must use another one to play it?
LPS packs are outdated there, and we're not able to support old versions here

Ideally use ATLauncher or PrismLauncher - both can install packs from Curseforge and Modrinth sites

Is there a way to add Worldedit to your BetterMC Neoforge server without getting a sync error upon connecting?
hm ive spent a l ot of time in the aether, but didnt find it yet, is like an ore?
yes! an ore
Years ago when i made a bukkit server it used to be a plugin but now it rather seems it requires a player to install it aswell if you put the worledit.jar in the mods folder. Is there a way to make it server sided like Neoessentials is for example?
guys is it possible to play the BMC5 with the seamless mod? (the one that make you invite friends in your world)
!ws
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
If you get an error in chat when trying to host your world, we highly recommend selfhosting instead as it's free, very easy, and much more stable. Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
so no need to use it thank you
You're using a really outdated version, please move away from
for those reasons:
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. not a single lobster in the beach biome tho
hello am i allowed to ask for help with an older version of the modpack with a couple mods i added myself? i cant update the pack anyway because my files are too big, so im at v53
!outdated
You seem to be using an older version of the modpack! Updates often fix issues, and yours might already be fixed, so please try again with the latest version of the modpack to see if the issue persists or not.
even with big files, you should still be able to update. If it's space on your device you should really clear out some stuff you don't use off it
do you happen to know the command to look at mobcaps?
not off top of my head no
thank you, i did try multiple times in the past months but the download never starts, like the update button doesnt do anything. jumped to the conclusion that it must be the file size. otherwise i do have enough space on my device

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.

6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

hi, i just downloaded a better mc forge serverpack, i tried to start it, but i get this error, Error occurred during initialization of VM

do i have to downgrade java?
Edit variables.txt and change SSJ to false
where can i download it?
thanks!
ATLauncher has built in installation, so just use that (same way as installing the pack in the first place - #faq )
why do i have to download mods from outside my launcher to play the modpack?
Mod authors on Curseforge can disable external downloads individually
Yes
!define
Curseforge - Refers to both the Curseforge website and Curseforge Launcher. The Curseforge Launcher is a modded launcher used to play & install modpacks. ATLauncher is a better alternative. All modded launchers can be used to install & play both Fabric and Forge modpacks.
Modpack - A collection of mods. "Better MC 1.19.2 Forge", for example, is a modpack.
Modpack Version - The version of the modpack you are playing. v5, v6, v7, etc.
Minecraft Version - The version of Minecraft which the modpack you are playing runs on. 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, etc.
Mod - A .jar file which modifies the game in some way. "BetterEnd", for example, is a mod.
Forge - A mod loader which allows you to use Forge mods.
Fabric - A mod loader which allows you to use Fabric mods.
Curseforge and Forge are two different things
can someone help me bc if i want to do modpack on bisect hosting and join over curseforge 3 things fail to load?

to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:

Unsure why that is. Can you increase the Xmx to like 6GB? I'm too lazy to calculate how much RAM you have in that machine
aight, trying it right now
eh, still same thing
is fabric same thing? im not really a minecraft person, i just was asked to host a server for a friend
maybe it would go better
How do I improve performance?
Some chunks just won't load!
Its an issue I've been experiecning with this modpack in particular. In my world, some areas just appear as a void, making exploration impossible.
-Chunks will not load, even after pressing (f3 + a) to reload chunks
-Happens both in singleplayer and multiplayer
-The only way to fix this temporarily is to exit and join back the world, but I immediately run into the same issue if i try to explore further.
I've played other heavy modpacks such as deceased craft, elysium days, and aged, and never ran into this issue once. So performance is not the problem.
The client I am using is Prism Launcher. I am playing on the latest version of the mod. Plz help, I am at my wit's end.
Reason: Freesm Launcher is not allowed. You will have to provide proof you own a copy of Minecraft.

They make it too easy...
Alright, generally this happens because chunks tend to take their sweet time loading (though launchers can have a chance to screw mods up or consume resources), causing other chunks to not load for a while.
We usually recommend pregeneration of your world to make these chunks not blow up the world's gen time.

I see what you mean. I always do that before playing on any modpacks. I have already used chunky with a radius of 2k, but unfortunately, the issue still persists
Not too sure what to tell you otherwise, usually pregeneration helps, but sometimes the game wants to play slow... hmm.
!fps Sometimes this guide helps?
But most of the time yeah you're going to just, need to relog to make things load, though it shouldn't need a second relog after meeting the same chunk.
yeah let me try that

Is it really that good? I keep seeing it everywhere. I suppose I'll give it a shot.
itās pretty good
Iāve found it much better than modrinth
modrinth just looks better
ATL is just a mixture of all the mod platforms

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.

hey there!
on BMC4 57.5V
for some reason, i am not sure why or how, players on our server keep getting the same error over and over again.. and after trying many times they are finally able to join.
we have of course already, reseted the entire server for this issue to disappear (didn't help)
reinstalled the modpack on the client side all over again (didn't help)
tried anywhere to look for solutions,
could you please help us understand what is the cause of the issue?
@stone mountain Iām afraid I donāt really know what that means
I'm talking about a basic computer operating - deleting a specific file
would that delete my world
No, it's just a file that stores options like video, and keybinds

how do i know if a mob is ambient or not
still cant get them to spawn / dont know why
this includes fish
there shouldnt be any ambient mobs in spawn chunks / loaded chunks
all the spawns i get in warm oceans are squids dolphins deeplings mantis shrimp and mimic octopus 0 tropical fish spawns
hello i have a question maybe someone else has also this issue.. iam playing bmc5 with my friends no extra mods or changes to mods. we are on bisecthosting. everytime someone is dying and enters the game the other players are getting kicked from the game
is this a issue because of the graveyard mod?
so many more mobs spawn in my single player world
is there a way for me to check how many spawn on my friends server?
or like the command to show what mobs can spawn
I have a question about BMC5, Im looking thru the mods and apparently theres 2 backpack mods?
One by mr crayfish and the other inmis? but it doesnt let me make the mr crayfish version bag
is that intentional?
can anyone help me at all?
What's the matter?
Iām trying to figure out why no fish spawn on my friends server
Dolphins and squids and other bigger marine animals spawn but tropical fish shrimp etc donāt spawn
I just killed the dragon and didnt get any dragon scales š where would I get them if not the dragon

uh irons has worked in like 20 modpacks why not here and I have like 100 other mods that worked
irons isn't vanilla+, and it can be something else that likely is causing problems and doesn't work well with irons.

it's a general statement, and if it was problematic in any way then a dev has a privilege to hate the project. Simple as that.

I got a question, so I have full netherite right? And I have the goblin tuned netherite leggings that give 50% armor, so I have an armor bar and a half, but when I equip any other armor besides the pants, such as a different chestplate like the dragon scale chestplate which gives another armor point, it still shows an armor bar and a half as my armor and doesnt go up
so I guess im curious
does wearing goblin tuned armor stop you from getting extra armor points?
or is it just a visual glitch
oh and adding a netherite iron ingot to the goblin tuned pants doesnt add the extra .5 toughness that it should

Ahh thank you
#faq - use ATLauncher, we have instructions for it
there's none with rly similar UI
It's not pretty, but it's lightweight and stable
ATL/Prism are the goats :3
what about modrinth thats also bad ?
currently it isn't supported
will definitely check these 2
sooo.. rn it is bad
soo it's like
for the modpacks in it its decent but it doesnt have curseforge downloads so the library is very limited
Curseforge/Modrinth are both Launchers & providers of modpacks
atl/prism have access to both mod hosting websites yea
both of those, ATL and Prism can acess both Providers and more
(like ftb and technic)
oh okay, because what gonna happen is my friend will host a server which we paid for. and load bettermc. but they got curseforge launcher. if i go with ATL and Prism i can still play with them right ?
yes
just need to make sure its the same version of the modpack for both of you and you will be able to join no problem
perfect thank you.

You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
so how can i removethem cuz idk how did they were added
Make a backup of your save file, and reinstall the pack
Ideally use a better launcher like ATLauncher (or PrismLauncher)
!alternates
You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
idk why I just got the notif for this but the UI is just completely empty
That's a bug with the Better Client mod - there should be an option to disable improvements to the trading screen in the mod options
Ty greatly appreciated

Hey got a question is there a wiki page for better Mc? New to the mod
!wiki
No, we do not have any official wikis for our packs. Any wikis you come across claiming to be for one of our packs are unofficial and may contain outdated or unreliable information. Your best guide is the questbook in-game, located in the top left corner of your screen when your inventory is open.
If you have further questions, feel free to ask or search in the channel for the pack you're playing. You can also search online for information about specific mods, as many individual mods have info available online.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.

It seems as you are trying to use the standard Minecraft launcher!
To run our packs properly, you will need to have a modded launcher, as it will install the pack for you, making it so you don't have a ton of mods/configs removed & end up crashing due to such.
Our most recommended launcher is ATLauncher, which you can find step by step instructions on by running the command !alternates in #bots . If you prefer a more modern interface, Prism comes recommended as well. Any other launchers we can't guarantee any issues won't arise, so it's best to save the trouble and use ATL/Prism.
Anyone happen to know of a good chunk protector mod that won't fight BMC 4 too much? We'll use it very lightly

!updatemods
Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> āOpen Folderā.
- ATLauncher -> Click āOpen Folderā on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click āFolderā on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.
and what about modrinth?
you don't need to. click share world, if you don't get an ip that's a bunch of words then world sharing is full

does that means that i cant play the modpack on modrinth?
we can't update the pack properly without a ton of issues on modrinth. Best to use atlauncher or prism, and use the curse version of the pack
!updatemodpack
To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.
-
CurseForge - See above video
-
PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.
-
ATLauncher - Under the "Instances" tab, find the pack you would like to update. there will be an "Update" button. There will be a dropdown menu, and if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it to select. Click "Update" once selected. Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to licensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.

STOP USING AI
- AI has zero clue how to fix minecraft problems, it is built to manipulate and falsify information and gives fake proof all the time. Be patient and wait for staff to provide assistance.
- AI is known to tell you to remove something, this does not fix your problem, this will break the pack and a high chance to break your world too.
May be worth reporting to the mod author if they have a github.
which one is the best?
whatever you prefer.
lie

Oh bro, as a person who works in IT for a very long time, and someone who had to use AI daily - its true
AI is ablsolute dog crap. If you wish to use a gaslighting software over listening to the people who know what they are talking about and have experience with the packs. Go right ahead, we don't have to give you any help
You're probably not good enough at using neural networks
And you're not gonna get help if you choose to listen to something that loves to make up crap constantly
Unfortunately AI is trained on dog shit information from public forums, where the solution is always to just remove mods
i mean i can also upload my latest log if someone wants to take a look at it
Can ai tell me how to build working molteb salt reactor with recycling in meatballcraft?
If it can, then we can discuss that ai isn't dogshit
It's built to make people stupid
Ai grabs random info from Internet and regurgitates it
You could yeah
speaking of ai being worse than dog who has the runs. Bela, there's areas in the US starting to petition for opting out of having school work on laptops/tablets
yes
OK, give me proof
Cool. then leave if you don't need the people who actually know what they are doing. What's the point of being here?
excuses
k
If you don't wanna listen to people, then you have no reason to be here asking for help
Go ahead and only listen to ai
OK, give me
Galactic matter without salt polarizer line
How to make it
so you guys are the ones going off-topic

nope fresh installed 2 days ago via curseforge and bisechosting, only change i made now was disabling you're in grave danger , that "fixxed" this issue

in what way am i underaged

my MC crashes as soon as I try loading into server
anyone know why, I am hosting the server
I have the same issue, but didnt get any response so far
does your game just crash when you try loading in?
For me after loading in to my world, in between 2-5 minutes I get a game crash called Problematic frame
Tried a different launcher though Minecraft crashes before starting screen
No clue
I cant even load into the world
I am getting this crash code "Exit Code: 1" when running the MODpack through curseforge. Here is the crash error "The atio6axx 'Problematic frame' in hs_err_pid29988.log is part of the AMD driver for the GPU.
There is a bad version of the AMD drivers that instantly crashes on an OpenGL task.
Try fresh reinstalling your drivers from https://www.amd.com/en/support
If you don't have an AMD GPU, then you need to tell your system to use that GPU
instead of the integrated GPU of the AMD CPU, steps below.
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-force-app-use-discrete-gpu-windows-11/" The website given doesn't seem to work and I am wondering if my computer isn't beefy enough or if I am just not understanding what to do.

!drivers
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
!server

(you should probably specify which pack as there's 5 different versions of bmc forge)
Not using a modified version?
I am using the modpack from Lunapixels
i havent added or done anything
I'm using the most recent version of the modpack, I legit haven't added anything
I don't even have the setting to add/remove stuff from the modpack
Iām not trying to be mean, why did I need to be more specific? I obviously brought it up in this channel because itās in bmc4,3,2,1
you say "In this pack" yet there's packs
which is different
also
this chat is for bmc 1-4 forge & bmc 5 neoforge
yo im trying to change a seed for better mc forge on a discord hosted minecraft server but for some reason the seed on singleplayer is different than the one on my server im trying to make the seed the same and the one im trying to make it is off the singleplayer world
can anyone help me find the spot to change my minecraft seed
or show me how to upload my singleplayer world to my server host?
then your installation did break somewhere
okay?
Just forget it
sure
I see you just donāt care, but sorry to bother you
you could either try doing fully clean reinstall in curseforge or try reinstalling pack in ATLauncher/Prism
I'm on BMC4, I got the share button clicked how do I get sm1 to join my game?
you are seeing things Presenski
idk from where you get that I don't care - but if you want to assume, you're free too
did you get link in chat
I hate my life
Yea the .gg link
if so, you share the link with someone and then they direct connect to that link
It keeps telling her the address is wrong
It's that right?
should be
your friend should be able to direct connect it
uhh
if both of you are using same modpack installation
We are and I've given her the number it gives me and that link, won't let her join
anyone have an answer to this? i stopped playing yesterday and loaded it up just now and it turned the backpacked backpack into an inmis one
Any ideas why I log into my server it crashes within like 1 minute
hosting from modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
Secondly... Wdym even hosting from modrinth
wdym?
For first part do you see this message
For second part.. Didn't know it's possible to host trough modrinth. Either way, haven't heard anyone doing it that way too
yea
As in website
they do it now
Or from app
yes and the app
yes
Because all lps packs in modrinth currently are outdated, and shouldn't be used
That is one of the biggest problems
lps packs?

Atl or prism is go to
Just make sure you select curseforge PROVIDER when installing modpack
And not modrinth
Then you should also check with modrinth that server you have there is on same version as your instance
we have got it all working now tho
š
we are BMC 4 and on forge 1.20.1 is that fine?
so modrinth is working then
Bug fixes, new mods, new patches
Where am I being a dick
Thing is
with the sighing
There's too much to explain
cool
That's why the sighing
You could go trough changelogs
Because like... It's really lot
ill wait till version updstes on here them
Just check in #announcements for latest changelog for bmc 4 and how much there is, then like.. That times ten ig
Eh, you may be waiting for a bit. Like one of devs said they are working on something but yk, there's no reason to stick to one modpack platform especially when it has outdated versions with which noone will be able to provide support really as we can't keep in heads all the versions of modpacks and how it works back then
But you do you I guess. If you want that, you're free choice, you're a free woman
I fixed my game crashes... the problem was the "bejeweled backpack". when i switched to nether, the games crashed. after i put off the bejeweled backpack, the game didnt crash again.
Devs are not doing updates till further notice
thank you tides

So I'm having a problem with CurseForge itself and I can't seem to find the issue with it and I'm not sure if anyone in here can help me. Sum it up I can't play a single modpack. Anytime I launch a modpack it either A. crashed as soon as I create a world or B. crashes immediately. I can't figure out why. I didn't have issues yesterday and now today is a different story. I updated java and set java 8 to the path where the .exe file for the updated version of java and I still have the same outcome

why does the mod need you to add extrta mods
while using modrinth
is there no way to just play without them
Can i add lootr to betterMC?

Because modrinth can't download mods from curseforge manually
And it's outdated too
thats not related to what i asked though
Yeah, you should be able to
I have left modrinth now and moved to ATL how can I do it? Im doing it through bisect
Some mods needs to be downloaded from curseforge and can't be done on modrinth
Because pack comes with them
No
Because pack is made like that. To be with those mods
Because developers chose to add those mods
yeah but what if i dont want them
In instances tab where you launch modpack from there should be "add mods" button near modpack. Add mods to pack trough there. Then you also need to download mod and put it in server, in bisect, mods folder
does it matter the version?
Well, your best bet would be to go and ask in #1061339968691257466 , as you would be modifying pack, but I think you're required to download ftb mods and those may be responsible for quests and stuff which is big
Latest non alpha for 1.20.1 should work for you
so on the ATL it's only alpha? for 1.20.1
No
thats whats there
I don't know what you see right now
So I can't answer
But there should be proper non alpha version
Well above at very top
What is there
The lower you go the older versions are, you don't want old
so i download that in the ATL mods
Yeah
then add that to the BISECT mods folder too
Yup
okay thank you

Hi, Iām having a crash issue with Better MC 1 (Forge) v62.
The modpack launches normally, and I can get into both singleplayer and multiplayer worlds without issues. The world loads correctly, I can move around for a few seconds, but then the game crashes consistently.
What I tested so far:
Reinstalled the entire BMC1 profile from scratch
Same issue in both singleplayer and multiplayer
Shaders are disabled
Other modpacks run normally on my PC
Using the latest BMC1 version (same as my friends)
GPU is being detected correctly (NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU)
Java/CurseForge works fine with other packs
Behavior:
The game fully loads
I can walk around / move the camera
Sometimes even standing still and only moving the mouse causes the crash
After a few seconds, Minecraft crashes
Could this be a known issue with BMC1 Forge v62, or is there any specific log/mod I should check?
Thanks!
whats quest ram
Iām currently using 7000 MB allocated RAM for the modpack.
My PC has 32 GB RAM total, and other modpacks run normally. The crash only happens with BMC1 v62.
Here is a new crash report with the updated logs and details. Maybe this can help identify the issue more clearly, since the crash is still happening consistently in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
oh i tested each change
Follow that advice when adding mods
it only did this after adding uhh
these two
they run w/o errors now but the entire thing crashes just tryna load a new world in comparison to consistent errors beforehand
Modpack comes already with shaders support
if i remove em again it starts whining about Colorwheel mod and removing that and the list goes on
Remove feature recycler - if it's still crashing, make a post in #1061339968691257466 because you're not played BMC anymore

i had some conflicts with BetterEnd for some reason as well, should i just avoid that mod??
There's a reason it's not in the newest BMC
Normally checking Suspected Mods can give a rough idea of who is being a grouch
it told me everything BUT the one they provided LOL
at least it works now </3 idk if i should try reinstalling BetterEnd now that it works
I don't recommend
( for context i had a server like a year-ish ago with mods, im not familiar with mod packs but am getting into it - i compiled my additional mods from that modpack and put it onto the new BetterMC and adjusted the versions )
gotcha, wld you recommend any other mod similar?
None I know off top of my head that isn't resource intense

please tell me how to save the upgrade settings forever so that they don't reset by default after PC reboot?
what launcher you using
curseForge
Do you have your pc set up to clear temp files when you restart? that'd be the only thing I could think of to cause that
By settings you mean your keybinds? If so that's a "known issue", many people complain about it
English only
We don't speak russian here
I didn't do anything to make it happen.
where can I find a solution to this problem?
There is none currently
Maybe setting the option.txt file as read-only
But that will prevent you from changing anything in the game
Thanks, I'll try
Does it crash all the time, or was it a one-off?

The There is insufficient memory... message in hs_err_pid13092.log means that
your system is running out of available physical RAM or swap space.
To fix this:
- Make sure your memory is not heavily used by other running applications: check using Task Manager,
and try to close unnecessary programs while playing Minecraft. - Ensure you are using the recommended memory settings for the modpack; perhaps your Xmx value is too high?
- If you followed some dumb internet advice about disabling page files, revert it: that is likely the cause.
Even if you had, for example, 128 GB of RAM, and most of it were free, Java would still need swap space to function properly.
Find instructions on how to reenable page files below. - Check your disk space:
there might not be enough space for the swap area,
so you'll need to free up some. - Sometimes, simply restarting your computer can help clear out memory and reset swap usage.
- If you're using more than the recommended memory for this pack, try lowering it.
- If none of the above helps, consider contacting modpack support.
How To Change Paging File Size:
- In the Windows search bar, type 'Advanced System Settings' and open the first result.
- Press the 'Settings' button located under the Performance section.
- In the new section that just opened, press 'Advanced' and after
press the 'Change' button under the 'Virtual Memory' section. - Check the 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers' checkbox.
You probably got that in the pop-up - follow this instruction
its been crashing a lot tonight yea, but never really the same reason. and ive been kicked too but i didnt get an error for that that i saved.. it happened twice when i picked up a spawner

probably changed a couple mods or forgot to add a couple n itās not working
You could try to use the Optimize World feature (same as in vanilla)

Issue is caused by mods that are not in BMC5
We cannot guarantee that all the customizations will work for each update

It's complaining about one of the mods you removed. Any reason why you are removing mods in the first place?
Downloading Serverpack
- Go to Curseforge and select the modpack you're playing
- Click on Files
- Ensure that the Show alpha files toggle is turned on, then select the desired version (ideally the latest one at the top of the list)
- Click on the Additional Files (between "Changelog" and "Related Projects")
- Click on three dots, and select Download file

For Mac devices using Apple Silicon/arm (M1/M2/etc.) CPUs
There is an issue with Java 17.0.8 and newer where you may experience "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment", which can cause the Java runtime to crash under a variety of circumstances. To resolve this:
Mac:
- Go here and hover over the Download buttons until you see one with the option to install a .dmg file. If you have an M-series Mac, then make sure to install the ARM64 version of this file.
- Run the
!alternatescommand in #bots and follow the directions please be sure to download the JAR ver, as the OSX will crash. If you already have ATL installed, move on to step 3. - Click "Settings" on the right
- Click "Java/Minecraft" at the top
- Set "Use Java Provided by Minecraft" to false by unchecking the checkbox
- Manually specify the following Java path in the text box to the left to the "Reset" button:
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/zulu-21.jdk/Contents/Home
It took up a lot of space and my fps was really low; it was stuttering, so I removed the ones I thought were unnecessary, like Better End and Aether, which I didnāt want, this meant I had to remove add-ons from those mods Iād installed. It crashes when I create a new world, but the game and the main menu do open

!fps - follow this guide instead of removing stuff at random
Is adding stuff fine?
I also removed a few that I thought would be too difficult to play with someone who doesnāt know the game very well, not just because of the FPS
I'm having a really high internal server lag while trying to play BMC4, can anyone give me tips to solve this?
wanted to ask again why the backpacked mod isnt working for me, im playing on bmc5 i havent changed or added anything
what does this mean, anyone?
the mod is in the list but it isn't searchable in jei and if i close and reopen the modpack it changes the backpack to one from inmis

It's disabled, and replaced by Inmis
is it something i can re-enable or is it disabled on purpose?
i already tried this methods but no success.
But i think i discovered what was causing
You missed some
i installed distant horizons, uninstalling it solved by now
DH doesn't work well with this modpack?
DH doesn't even work well with vanilla
Agreed. but it's so nice to have
i actually had no problem using it before, i think is pretty decent actually
do you recommend an alternative for this modpack?
or should i don't use any at all?
I don't know any alternative, no
is there a way i can re-enable the mod?
how do you craft the supported oak door i am so lost
i think thats a chipped edit instead of a crafting thing
you need one of the chipped tables
yo just installed the better mc mod, is there anyone to play with friends without needing the server?
Dope thank you I figured it out
