Fix for Intel GPU Crashing
-# This is only applicable to crashing DLL's from hs_err_pid file, igxelpicd64.dll(GPU), igxe2hpgicd64.dll(ARC GPU).
Try to update your Drivers according to your GPU:
Intel® Arc™ Graphics - Windows
Intel® Arc™ Pro Graphics - Windows
Intel® 11th – 14th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows
Intel® 7th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows
If updating to latest does not work, go to TechPowerUp Intel Graphics Drivers, click Show older versions and look for
-
32.0.101.6737 for integrated GPU -
32.0.101.8247 for Arc GPUs
It worked!! thank you so much!
yo does someone wanna help me w a better mc modpack bug
falling tree isnt working on our server
is there a way to remove certain enchants from my stuff?
I built creeper farm with more than 2 spawners , and i have trading hall , i trade alot , also u can collect the quests rewards u get tons of exp
U can only remove all enchants by using empty book ..
Hi, I want to add a mod to level basic skills like woodcutting, agility etc. can someone recommend some Mods suitable and compatible for BMC5 NeoForge?
does anbod yknow of a way to reduc the mob spawn rates in "when dungeons aries" mod?
im contantly shooting up to 100 - 300k entiys and its breaking my game slowly to l ike 7 fps -n-
i tried removing other mods
and it doesnt seem like its those, it looks like when dungeons aries is the culprit
is there a mod to add like there is in the beyond depth modpack?
@viral garden @stone mountain sorry for the @ but I just wanted to let you two know that it worked! thank you. got back into my world
In hindsight I shouldve realized that THAT was the thing that was suddenly different when I launched the game. I'd never skipped a version before and all of a sudden when I did, I got that error. Anyway, thanks again.
how can I make a chunk always loaded?
I asked gemini for it and then i tested the mod . It called “enchanting infuser” , u can choose the enchantment that u want with no random ones and simply disenchant any of them. With less exp . U must craft the advanced enchanting infuser.
Open ur map , right click on the chunk that u want to be loaded, click claim selected, then right click on the square and click forceload selected
so i can disenchant with the infuser? and thank you
thanks! I'll try it
Yes ,
ur welcome
ok thanks again
there is one mod that shows what is in crafting table out side of it and it makes game laggy
when im crafting
In my BMC5 server whistling my dragons do not spawn them on me no more unless I’m in range how can I fix this?
They also sometimes lose the armour and saddle it’s quite annoying
i installed better mc and added some mods and everything is working just fine, but complementary shaders don't work, what should i do?

I get stuck loading on startup. Everything looks fine, the screen where the LunaPixel logo goes left to right, then... nothing. I can hear my pc wind down as well, seemingly no longer progressing to properly starting up the game and getting into the main menu.
Usually it'll have this issue the first time starting up, then next times starting up it'll end enter main menu after about a minute or so of seeing the LunaPixel loading screen. This time around it's been stuck like this several times even after restarting my PC.
Once it starts it's super stable and I can play for hours on end without any issues, did so yesterday, but this time around I can't seem to get into the main menu at all unfortunately.
Bmc5 works fine but this seems to be weird, any ideas?
!drivers
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
Curseforge gave me issues on a different patch of BMC4, so I started using ATLauncher. On a previous patch I had a save of ~45 hour of playtime. On this patch I have a save of 15-20 hours of playtime and I played just yesterday, but now it just seems to refuse starting up.
Eeey it started up this time!
The big difference in the ATLauncher Console I can see is this:
[15/04/2026 22:11:54 p.m.] [Render thread/WARN] - The block deep_aether:tall_aerlavender has no property with the name half, ignoring!
[15/04/2026 22:11:55 p.m.] [Render thread/ERROR] [FANCYMENU] Failed to read texture from file! File not found: USERSDIR\instances\BetterMCFORGEBMC4\config\fancymenu\assets\fabricapi.png
[15/04/2026 22:11:55 p.m.] [Render thread/WARN] Game took 76.565 seconds to start
All the times it got stuck loading, it didn't get farther than the first line with "deep_aether", this time it got the last few lines out and took only slightly over a minute in total to start up completely
Hi everyone! I'm having an issue with my Blazing Backpack (Inmis mod) on a BMC4 server. When I try to open it (using the keybind or right-click), I can hear the opening sound, but the UI/interface never shows up. Has anyone encountered this or knows how to fix it? Thanks!
Similar to my issue where aether accessories won't open on my local game and will hang the client on the server I play on, when opened. It's related to registered slots of course. Please send me the names of the mods you have added to BMC4
Actually it's more of the client just hanging, not crashing. The debug log is where I can get information on the "hangup". I can't wait to figure this out

how to i get this modpack to work on exaroton?
i uploaded the server pack but its saying the mod lists are incompatable
!aternos
We don't support Aternos nor can we assist you with using it for reasons listed below;
- You are unable to add / edit the mods to implement a fix that can be game changing at times.
- We are unable to control the updates of our packs on Aternos, nor ever will.
- The hosting is not strong enough to host our packs on there without it crashing every so often.
- We have other free methods that work much better than Aternos does. Run the !ws command and the !server command in #bots for more information on how to host a server for free.
i dont know how to explain it, but why does BMC5 neoforge seem smoother than Bmc4 Forge. I mean, BMC4 was running smooth until it started running weird, and frames feel jittery on my monitor, but bmc5 works correctly

If the issue you're experiencing is clientside, and is not related to a server, then follow the "Java" section in our performance guide for how to switch to a newer, more stable version of Java.
If the issue you're experiencing is serverside, then follow the Java section of our server installation guide.
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
sometimes bottom says modrinth, sometimes not
we just aren't updating on modrinth atm till they have a better way to update and install packs without causing issues for devs and players

how does one seperate enchants from one book?
anyone know how to force load chuncks on better mc on neoforge or if its only a feature on forge?

Does anyone know how to fix the BetterMC mod pack error? When I join a server with friends through CurseForge with the mod pack, I play normally, but when I leave the server, I keep getting an error about the Dragon mod, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the pack to get it to work. Titanaxe server
Hi, is there a good XP farm for the mod?
build an enderman exp farm
Yeah
Anyone know what could cause a problem where the creeper in a gun powder farm wont pay attention or get hit by the snow man is it a mod?
Sounds like a vanilla issue. Maybe just use a gravity-based farm...
basically you farm vanilla ice cream, feed it to a pet and it gives xp
throw the book on a stonecutter, it will become two with separate enchants
I dont understand
yup got it running nice and smooth, also why is that not recommended?
I set 9gigs of memory for the container and 8 for the server and that seems to be running very well
does BMC4 have a mod to move mobs like dragon pets ?
Is it okay If I can join you guys or is it only for certain people
A crash is happening to me also, I added Tinker's Construct and other integrated mods for Tinker's so far it went all good, today stuck on Luna Pixel screen after accessing the Resource Packs, It crashes only when entering or creating a world, and asks for a data pack for the mod LeaderBoards even though It's already installed, no idea what to make of it
forgot to mention some mods needed an update so, pressed the Update All and that seemed to mess it up probably
mob spa
made a copy of the modpack, the mod leaderboards was causing a problem now it runs
when im crafting complementaries arrow with rope and use arrow that already has rope ( idk if it works without) game crashes instantly
hello, I'm using a high shaders preset and it makes leaves (only on this wall) very dark. Any idea how to fix it?
Me and my friend keep getting fairly consistent lag spikes. Can somebody please advise on what to do? Here is my spark profiler: https://spark.lucko.me/gYFUz4BBxW
don't use ZGC
What is ZGC?
Server
I just found that I do have the Java argument enabled on my server as I copied some arguments from another modpack
Was just checking if the BMC5 server pack included these by default
yeah remove the two flags for use ZGC and ZGenerational
ok, I fixed it by setting real-time shadows to high
Are there any recommended Java arguments for BMC servers?
Honestly, none
just set Xms and Xmx to whatever best fits your memory constraints
everything else has tradeoffs and you're more likely to worsen things than make any improvements
case in point, ZGC causing 6 second lagspikes for you when G1GC (the default) would likely be fine

!ws or self hosting
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
If you get an error in chat when trying to host your world, we highly recommend selfhosting instead as it's free, very easy, and much more stable. Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
!server
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
if you're doing it locally on your pc, just anywhere you can easily acces the file
okay thanks again!
disabling shaders while exiting helped 😉
So, the person would just enter my public IP when they try to join a server or should I use the "share world" option?
I've connected as localhost, but we aren't able to get the other person to join my world/server
!port
If you're having issues with your friends joining your server, your port for Minecraft may be closed.
-
Check with https://portchecker.co/ with your IP and Minecraft's port (drop down menu) to see if it's open.
-
If it's closed you will need to search online "How to open Minecraft port for server with (ISP Name)
Important note: a lot will allow port forwarding, but there may be some ISPs that will not allow any port forwarding. Please check online if this is the case for yours.
I know I'm new here, but it may be a good idea to include that at the beginning of the instructions (or anywhere in the instructions) so people don't waste a bunch of time trying to get something to work that will never work
it does work? This is just an extra step for those whos internet doesn't have it open by default. Googling how to open it for your isp tells you how to do it as there's so many different ways they have and isn't consisnent for all providers
my ISP doesn't allow it
is that what google is saying?
that's what my ISP said when I called them
That's not something we would know
it was just a suggestion to include it in the instructions
not many do prevent it. that's why we say to check into it
would better minecraft break if i uploaded AstraLex Shaders to it? 😄
The pack has built-in equivalent already, and doesn't work with Essential
wait how do i get astralex shaders to work on better mc
wha
should be fine, but try it and see
This did not work 🙁
how do i turn it on casue it wont work
Just followed this
Think my laptop might’ve broken cuz of it, oops
Well, this is extremely unfortunate
Fucking helllll I think it’s actually bricked
I followed the exact instructions they gave and it bricked my laptop
It’s my fault, i should’ve researched and checked if it was safe for my laptop to install that version of the driver
I’m resetting my laptop now to see if it saves it
If it does, I guess I’m just not playing better mc again
Can you clarify what do you mean by bricked?
Because all that instruction asks you to do is just install official driver released by Intel, just an older version
Apologies, was kinda just emotional at the time
What I mean is, it couldn’t connect to any networks, the screen wouldn’t turn on, and even after resetting my laptop, it became completely impossible to use
Yes, I installed the driver
That’s all I did haha
It might’ve just been incompatible with my laptop, maybe? It doesn’t really matter now since it’s just done for, but oh well
Are you able to connect external monitor to it? Are you able to start Windows in safe mode (where it will not load the driver at all)?
I’ll see what I can do about an external monitor, there was no option for safe mode anywhere I looked when troubleshooting
The laptop was also like 3 years old and probably a bit overused, so perhaps it was a number of factors? I don’t really know what I did wrong since all I did was install a driver, but oh well
This article seems to be a good guide on how to achieve that
That should allow you to get into windows without loading drivers, and that should allow you to uninstall / reinstall the driver in a controlled manner
Noted, thank you very much. I’ll see what I can do about it
I’m probably gonna take some time to sleep first, as I haven’t had the chance and I’m kinda in a really depressive mood about the whole deal, but thanks for offering solutions

Hello ! I don't really know where I can ask for help so I am trying my luck here 🙂 !
I recently rented a server on Modrinth and wanted to try out BMC4 on it. I don't know if you guys have a to-do list to succeed in doing it but I am struggling hard. I can't get it to work. I've tried :
- Downloading listed mods & resourcepacks (when I launch a BMC4 instance from Modrinth I get a message saying that I need to download mods and resourcepacks) and putting them into the correct folders
- Then installed BMC4 on my server through any possible way :
- Server Modpack
- Copying mods from my client (removing client-sided mods) into server mods folder
- Via Modrinth modpack installation
I can't find a way to play BMC4 on my server with my friends ...
Do anyone have an idea ?
Thanks a lot guys

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
Follow the self-hosting guide, and use the serverpack from Curseforge website to create the server, instead of your client files, that's one
Second thing
!modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
Follow this ^^
In terms of rented server from Modrinth - if you copy the serverpack it might work fine
Just a bunch of small mods , also i delited the modpack and all the mods and dwonlord everything again. In singelplayer everything look ok , but in the server it's worng. Also , my frineds have the same mods and everything and her game runs smooth
Try to add those mods one by one, and see which one is causing that. Certain mods might have some compatibility issue on some computers, but not the others
!modified
You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
Ok thanks!
Thanks very much for your response, I think I'll just go and grab a Bisect Hosting server, this seems much easier tbh ahah
but wait , i can't log in to the server without all the mods...
You cannot, that's true. I'm asking you to remove them from the server and client at the same time
And test 1 by 1
I rented a Bisect Hosting server, it works like a charm, thanks ❤️
Guys what is the most powerful armor in better minecraft 4
Is there a manufacturing block, like an automatic manufacturing block?

Hi, has anyone had any problems installing twilight forest on BC 5 Neoforge? My instance crashes when I add it
i need help with my better mc, whenever i launch the mod from curseforge and it is loading and in the loading screen it says my ram is capped at 512mb and ive went into curseforge settings to manually change the ram useage but it still doesnt work ive been stuck on this for about 30 minutes, thanks

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Try this

so where can i download the server pack ?
Hello my wife and I are playing on BM5 (neo-forge) on a lan server hosted on her computer. Im having issues with severe lag when placing/breaking block and opening/closing doors. They won't appear/disappear for about 10-30 seconds even placing torches the light won't appear for a while.
We are both hard wired to the modem and 0ms ping. The world generates fine and I'm not dropping fps. Also I'm using direct connect to the lan server and we both have plenty of ram allocated. Any ideas?
curse modpack page, it's under versions, click the latest one, then additional files.
!server you could instead self host on the pc instead of the world sharing, you won't have to port forward since yall are in the same house and internet

Im playing BMC5 right now and Im trying to mine obsidian and its saying “you cant break this block yet”, I’ve tried looking through the mods to see if anything would be causing this and even looked it up but nothing came up so Im asking here
what tool you using?
Diamond pickaxe
you sure it's bmc5?
any changes to the pack?
Yeah ive added spartan weapons, better combat, and a colored lantern mod but this was happening before I added those
And RPG attribute system
could it be rpg attribute?
cause that's not in bmc at all base wise to restrict such a thing
There's no "you cant break this block yet" thing at all
It could be im looking through rpg right now bc it could be the culprit
It’s from something you added 100%

⚠️ Essential Mod Not Supported
We strongly recommend against using Essential with our modpacks, and we add a warning screen during modpack startup containing the following message by default. A free world-sharing alternative is already built-in called Luna - click Share World in the game menu to use it.
Why we don't support Essential:
-
Technical issues: We've received multiple user reports of problems when combining Essential with our modpacks, including reports of world corruption. While there is no conclusive evidence of Essential as the definite cause, we do not have the development or support capacity to resolve issues potentially caused by it.
-
Security concerns: Essential's auto-updater introduces potential security risks that are outside of our control.
-
Ethics: We object to Essential's inclusion of in-game currency and microtransactions in an otherwise free modding environment.
If you choose to use Essential anyway
Please understand that you do so at your own risk and will not be eligible for support from our team. To remove this warning, you can open your modpack instance folder, navigate to config/crash_assistant/problematic_mods_config.json, and under essential-container, change should_crash_on_startup from true to false.

Hi I’m like rlly new to all of this. I press share world and it js shows the port and not an address in the chat? Am I missing something
is share world the same as open to lan?
!ws
And you don't see any errors, nor the address ending with .gg?
Nopee
No error just port
!logs
to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- MultiMC -> Select your instance and click „Instance Folder” on the right.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
- For servers -> Open the folder containing your server files.
To find the latest.log file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the hs_err_pid.log file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder. (this file type is not as common in crashes - do not worry if you cannot find it, just skip over this line.)
To find a crash report, navigate to the crash-reports folder and find the most recent file after your crash occurred.
Once located, please upload the requested file here. If it fails, upload to https://mclo.gs/ and share the link here.
I updated my all my mods not knowing it would mess up my profile
!updatemods
Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.

Small update:
Couldn't find a way to enter BIOS to get it into safe mode. I couldn't even find any info on how to do it online for an alienware laptop, which is the laptop that I was using. I'm gonna try hooking up an external monitor tomorrow. If that doesn't work, then the laptop is truly toast
Never thought I'd say that "Better Minecraft accidentally killed my laptop" but hey whaddya know
I still don't know what caused this, or how I could've prevented it, but if I ever get this damned thing repaired then I frankly doubt I'll try this again
did you modify the pack? cause ain't no way BMC was the cause or else this place be fully shut down
It wasn't the actual cause, duh
I explained what happened
I followed the guide to download the driver that was reccomended
did a fresh install, as was instructed
and then everything broke from there
and now the laptop is seemingly unusable
what's the specs on it?
Shit I don't have that on the top of my head
? what is this supposed to do
It gathers info about your pc
I don't think you understand
I can't USE that laptop
the driver broke it completely
what's it doing rn?
you pulled the download it from the website of the graphics card it has?
yes
intel
to be a bit more specific, I clicked https://www.techpowerup.com/download/intel-graphics-drivers/
^
I tried updating my nvidia gpu as well, but it still said the INTEL one was the one that needed to be updated to that specific version
"it" being the crash log for bmc
you sure it wasn't saying that the game was trying to use your integrated instead of dedicated gpu?
it was not
I am very certain it was saying that a specific part of that gpu was not incorrect, and thus I needed to download 32.0.101.6737
Normally it'd only mention the intel if it's attempting to use your integrated GPU.
so I downloaded that version, and that's what broke everything
huh, strange
thank u!
If I manage to find some way to fix this poor thing then I'll see what I an do about ensuring it uses the right gpu instead
Sorry if I seem a bit rude about all this
What does this mean
I am a bit frustrated and upset that a guide I trusted destroyed a $2000 laptop
Is it still in warranty?
do you not see the message following that from zepplin? If not please restart discord
sadly no, the warranty expired and due to changing phone numbers I can't really do anything about it now
any repair shops near you?
I'll try looking into that
or a trusted tech-y nerd
That's the guide that Chloe has shared - there is a bug in newer Intel GPU drivers, which causes games to crash. The guide just recommends installation of an older version of the driver, that's all
well it seemingly bricked their laptop.
I think it's just the driver installation failed or corrupted - and safe mode / driver uninstall should fix it
It's very unlikely that a driver installation would destroy a laptop
they can't get into anything from the sounds of it
When it starts up the screen doesn't even turn on at all
black screen?
Yes
just the internal screen or testing with external?
internal screen, I haven't had the chance to test with external yet
I'll get out of your hair now. If I have any updates I'll share, and if I get the chance, I might see what I can do about a safer method to play BMC, maybe I'll try and find out how to change the driver it uses to the nvidia one
why is it these companies are always mucking up the good of their products blegh
greatly appreciate the help! this is a very frustrating situation but I hate to get others wrapped up in my frustration, haha
intel and nvidia are owned by morons I swear
Is there any reason or conflict that causes controllable mod to not work with latest version of BMC4
nothing on purpose, so likely it's an issue with something that got changed and controllable isn't liking it. we can't really do much about controller mods
Fair enough
does anyone know what file and nbt editor i need to use to edit something out of my backpack that is causing it not to open?
Netherite-diamond or Warden for armor?
sup yall, just askin if i can Combine BetterMC with another modpack, now i wanna combine this modpack with Bmc
just makin´ sure if i can or not, i mean i can but if it runs or not
cuz bmc lags a little, not much but i hate when it runs on mid FPS, even tho i have RTX 3080 i cant even Run 10 chunks smooth, i need like 180 fps+ AT LEAST for my 240hz monitor so
The modpack is already highly optimized. If any optimization mod in fabulously optimized wasn’t added, there was a reason for it
!fps you cannot combine modpacks, and your performance tanked trying to do so
like i mean i can Copy all Mods in FO and paste them in bmc no? btw i did that Performance thing but still no
doesn't mean you should... you busted the pack by doing that
it's not even bmc anymore.
it's not our responsibility to make the pack invincible from all performance issues
yeye i know and i completely understand that, i can atleast try putting the mods in from FO, i can make a backup so
well if you need help with a modified pack in the future use #1061339968691257466 instead
only thing I can suggest is test a couple mods at a time
aight thanks!!!
I have a question why thers client side mods on server pack literally there were iris shaders 😂

Hello, I’m on version 1.20.1 of minecraft and version v57.5 of BMC, I started minecraft on curseforge and I haven’t touched anything in the mod pack, and when I’m in the game my backpack, the latest craftable, The endless_backpack no longer breaks at all, whereas all the other backpacks open properly. If someone could help me? Thank you
dude where did u get this template
If you have launched the game and its crashed you should have a screen pop up telling you it has recorded crash reports, you can take the link off of that page and just post it here, might depend on what launcher your using but it should still tell you as long as it comes up as a report
Guess i wont be able to use it, tring to fix my server rn

Mobs like cows, sheeps,.. did not despawn when unloading chunk. Anyone know the solution ?
they don't despawn, they just kinda freeze in place till the area is loaded again
i wonder if that is good, when no new mob spawn when loading chunk, except for the hostile mob at night
no mobs at all will despawn in unloaded chunks. they just freeze and stay put till you load the area again. Hostile, passive, entities, etc
Does anyone know how to share a world with a friend in a different way? We have been using "share world" for days but always kick one of us

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
world sharing was likely full when you were trying things

jumping into my forever world and on better MC v54. how do i update to latest?
!updatemodpack
To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.
-
CurseForge - See above video
-
PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.
-
ATLauncher - Under the "Instances" tab, find the pack you would like to update. there will be an "Update" button. There will be a dropdown menu, and if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it to select. Click "Update" once selected. Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to licensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.
foreverworlds and modpacks don't really mesh well considering things always changing, so make sure to read changelogs
nvm my server has not been updated. trying to figure that out. client is updated but not the server

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
any plans of officially adding Create to this pack now that aeronautics is out?
I've mentioned here a few times before that I've had issues loading up BMC4 the first few times (hangs on final bit of loading and requires a force-close) and only after a random amount of starting up attempts it finally loads the game and I can play without any issues for hours. I think I found the issue for my situation!
Windows has a "fast startup" thing in the power options and apparently it causes my graphics card to have a bit of a delayed/phased starting up that can cause issues? I've never had it happen with other games, but looking back any time I had trouble with starting up BMC4 it was when it was the first thing I did after starting up my PC. If I try starting after having done other stuff for a while, it seems fine. I'll keep "fast startup" off in general now as I only read bad things about the option, I'll update later if it completely solved my issues.
- this pack is bad term to use - this chat here is for 5 packs (bmc 1-4 forge & bmc 5 neoforge)
- you could check #suggestions / make one in it if there was none made already

Any idea how to pintpoint reason for friend disconnects when joining server via share world and BMC4?
!wsfull may be one
World Sharing servers are likely currently at capacity
If you or your friend are receiving an error such as "An error occurred in Luna", or "Connection refused: no further information" when trying to play through "Open to LAN" or "Share World", it's likely that Luna's servers (used for world sharing) are currently full. We don't have a way to know when slots on our servers free up, but you are welcome to try again later.
We understand and recognize that this may be inconvenient, so we recommend in this case to host or rent your own server. Self-hosting is free, for more information on supported hosting options, type !server in #bots.
If you'd prefer an alternate world sharing mod such as Essential over the previous methods, risks of it are outlined in !ea, as well as how to use it if you accept the risks and void of support.
This command does NOT change or know if they are full or not, this is something ran as the most common issue.

How do I update it?
!updatemodpack
To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.

to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- MultiMC -> Select your instance and click „Instance Folder” on the right.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.

To find the latest.log file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the hs_err_pid.log file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder. (this file type is not as common in crashes - do not worry if you cannot find it, just skip over this line.)

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

i was playing bmc forge and i was using my "fps limiter" by adrenalin (amd graphics card programm) and i set the limit to 142 - everything was running perfect and i had barely micro stutters. Now i wanna play again but the limiter doesnt work anymore, now when i limit my fps in minecraft (and also when i dont) i have severe micro stutter, all the time. What causes this and what can fix this? My pc is pretty good, when i set my fps to unlimited i get like 400-500 fps. How can i make the fps limiter work again? Please help me, it aint fun at all playing with all these micro stutters.

Me and my friends want to start a better mc server but we dont know whats the diffrences between bhc 4 and 5 and we have heard that the 4 version actually would have more content but which one would yall recommend?
Is pop up ''Mods Not Available'' Normal ? Just asking because I never ever used this ATL Launcher tbh.
Yes, just follow the instruction in the same pop-up
#faq should have some info about that
BMC4 should have a bit more content, just because there is more mods for 1.20.1 than for 1.21.1 (because the first one was out for longer)
But both modpacks are totally viable options

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide. This guide's section regarding GraalVM is completely wrong from our own testing, and we recommend ignoring it.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50
Then, send the link in this channel.
I would start with this guide
Also, it's better to pregenerate the chunks, as chunk gen is always slow, no matter the pack
At the start it was amazing, but the more we played the more it slowed down
It seems like it has to do with cache somewhere slowing down the sever
If restart of the server doesn't fix that - then the guide is your only way - there is no cache
what can i do about it?

From our experience the only controller mod that seems to work is Controllable Most other controller type mods crash within the packs. If this mod still does not work, it's not something we can fully help or support with as modpacks have so many keybinds that it's too much for controllers to translate over properly.
It is not like using it with Vanilla Minecraft as lots of mods come with lots of keybinds to make the experience more customizable. If you decide to add these mods and need help, make a post in #1061339968691257466 and someone may check to see if they can lend a hand.

Im still having the same issue through ATLauncher where right after the log says trying gl version 4.6, it a fatal error has benn detected by the java runtime environment

windows
it does also say "The crash happened outside of the Java Virtual Machine in native code" if that helps

This doesn't help to clarify anything
Example: Some people think, that just copying mods from their client is a normal way to create a server
I see
Is the modpack required Java 21 or 17 btw?
Here's the guide
Thank you

"Unfortunately there seem to be some issues preventing your server to be booted correctly. This can be due to several reasons:
Custom configurations to the server
Some uploaded mods/plugins
Temporary issues with the game, and/or its network
... or something else.
As a first troubleshooting step, reboot the server and see if that helps.
Secondly, if you have made any customizations to your server, you should revert those and see if you then can boot the server.
If you still can’t get your server to boot, contact us for further assistance."
thats all im getting when trying to start the server
as for the logs let me check
now how do you want me to share the logs i doubt a simple copy and paste
3808 lines | 660 errors
Download logs from the server, then drag and drop the file(s) here
That works too
im seeing getsockopt connection has been refused
So that's the server most likely just being down
Need the server logs to see the reason
No need the full log file
Should be downloaded in files section
Alright I will try something else then..
I have an issue and I am offering 50$ via PayPal for anyone who can help me solve it once and for all.
I am using the BMC4 56v for my server and host it through pebblehost. Originally we have installed the modpack by using the pre-load of a modpack in the first hosting after a few months we have transferred a backup from 1 hosting company to another. My issue is that for some reason some players are not able to join the server, while other players can.
The server console doesn’t show what the issue , on the client side the issue appears in the picture above.
Now a weird thing is that some players who had the issue were just refreshing the multiple player section a few times and it worked once again.
I am desperate and clueless on what it can be.
I beg of you: PLEASE HELP ME🙏🏼🙏🏼
Note: please ping when answered
Update: a player who logged in yesterday with no issue - is now unable to join, what could possibly be the reason for that?

Neruina kicked you, because your player was ticking (and it would crash the server) - this is caused, in this instance, by the mod you added
Ive been playing for weeks with no issues. I wonder if its because i was running around on lava in the nether, because one of the baubles allowed me to do so. So how do I fix it and get back into my world? I was actively in lava when it kicked me. I still dont understand how the whole "otherwise the server would crash" if I was in a single player world
I would hate to have to start over. I probably wouldnt even play anymore at that point
Single player starts "integrated server" in the background.
In terms of "why" or "how to fix" - this is not the right place to ask this - it's not a part of our modpack.
I would suggest you to reach out to the mod's author and ask them for a solution - or remove the mod from the pack, and play without it.
Is there a way I can update without the removal of the world currently played? Or will some of the world be corrupted?

Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.
you would want to update version by version btw
to prevent any corruptions as much as possible
and make backup beforehand
by this I mean, update to next version available, load up into world, exit, repeat

4023 lines | 670 errors
its now giving me an error saying mismatched mods for somereason
you dont need to reset your server
thats because you do not have the same modpack/modpack version installed as the server
what if my world is getting backed up and the world save is 200gb?
it just wont auto backup
thats where im confused i copy and pasted the mod/plug in no changes what so ever
how does it work with bisect i dont understand the concept
there is an auto backup system and if you dont have storage for the auto backup it wont auto backup
whats the default gb amount for the auto back up
im thinking about to switch to bisect, my current hosts automatically backs up files even when they go above 500gb
i dont know 😭
i can check ig
this server is auto backuping
its like 60gb
idk where to check what the limit is specifically tho
ok then ill download it and try again
id recommend waiting for a response from @sour tundra or ask in the bisect discord
Server launches now
alguem portugues?

Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
im only getting the option to do lan

Instruction:
to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:
Can you share latest.log?
it was doing it before updating mods so i updated it but im just deleting it and reinstalling
👀 Let me know if you have any questions.
So the way our storage works is we don't impose a limit on the file manager itself. It operates under fair use so as long as you aren't harming other users on the node you can use as much as you want.
Your backup slots and instances do have a size limit as you saw in the screenshot you posted.
We continue to store daily automatic backups regardless of size so if your files do get too large there are still backups if needed.

Follow the guide
And what's wrong with the performance here?
I see a perfect 20 TPS
It was giving me different metrics when I used it in game with /spark tps
Friend lags when he joins and im tryin to fivure out if its on my side
My bad I was lookin at CPU usage reading it as it was TPS
So reason for lags are on his side?

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

i repair the profile and didn't solve
if you don't see this message, restart discord @grave reef
I only updated the modpack not individual mods if thats what i did wrong, just reinstall?
you did something definetly wrong
it shows that you added and updated mods
Also
now you may be in a bad situation
do you have ANY backup before you did what you did?
if no, you may be screwed. If yes, you need to update one version at a time . Update -> load into world -> exit -> repeat
lol i just clicked the launcher and i actually did launch it on version 32.5 i forgot that but it said i had too much memory and i needed to update to 57.5 so i reduced memory allocated and updated the modpack
i dont have any worlds im worried about
yes i was gonna start a new world
Okay. your installation ended up borked somewhere
if you don't care about any worlds
- delete modpack fully in curseforge, and install it fresh, do not update any mods (even if it tells that "oh there is update to mods")
- if it doesn't work out, try out ATLauncher/Prism
!alternates
You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
okay will try thank you!
@lethal basin I believe it worked, you are AMAZINGLY helpful thank you

what's a good way to make a gunpowder farm? i've made a creeper farm but its not very efficient
also, are there any schematic mods so i don't have to make something multiple times by hand?
Weird question, has anyone ever modified/tweaked the pack to space out structure spawning? The pack feels really cluttered sometimes with some major structures breaking entirely because another, up to 2 other structures will try to generate to close to eachother so things like the fire arena in the nether dont spawn the minions needed to summon ignis etc
Trying to set up a lightly modified version of the pack for a hardcore rpg server and id like finding structures to be more of an important event rather than "oh theres another one of those"
is this why my chunk cant loading ?
why isnt my creeper farm spawning anything
does anyone know why my bear attacks my friend
its tamed and she feeds it but it still attacks her
does anyone know how to host a server with better mc
