Ok so i have a problem with adding ram to my 1.19.2 better mc server. The file says to add this line -Xmx8g and uncomment it to change the ram but when I start up my server the ram is still set to 4g max. I have 32 gb of ram and plenty of free ram on my pc. I run the server with the start.bat if that helps any.

best way to get reliable food is to breed cows tbh

This pack has the Carry On mod, so you can literally pick up passive mobs and place them where you want, making it much easier to gather a few cows to get started

you could also do chickens, pigs, or sheep, but steak is the best food you can get early on

The actual chunks and builds on them are in the region files. But if there's a corrupted chunk causing the problem, then moving those files to a new save will likely transfer the problem too.

Would anyone know why villagers won't be taking the librarian job in my server? I've tested it many different times with spawned in villagers, others that naturally spawned in villages around the world and some of my breeded villagers. They will take any other job immediately without fail. When I go to a single player game it works fine every time. Im on 1.16.5 version

At my base yah but they were working just fine in the beginning of the world on Sunday no issue. And then when I started breeding more villagers it wasn't working with those (like 5 different villagers) and so then I went into testing

so what most likely is happening is you have villagers without a profession looking for a job they see the lectern and claim it then the librarians claim a different lectern than the one in front of them. that also leaves a few without a job and so they auto claim the next lectern placed.

Yah I tried that last night too. Gave all the ones that didn't have jobs the brewing job placed the lectern back in front the of the ones that have the library job and then tested it on the others and it didn't work either. Whats weird as well is that the ones that have the library job won't change outfits to the librarian either they stay like they are unemployed and with the info that a mod gives you when looking at stuff says they are unemployed as well when looking at them but right clicking them shows they are still a librarian

The only other thing I can think to try is to save the world data like our progression wise and then reinstall the modpack and try that. But that will have to wait till I get home from work of course

It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric.

There's several crucial mods for increased performance which are used in Luna Pixel Studio's modpacks, most of which are Forge versions of Fabric mods. They should only be downloaded from Modrinth, Curseforge, or Github:
1. Rubidium - Sodium port for Forge. Magnesium is an alternative to this, but it's no longer maintained and doesn't support Oculus.
2. Oculus - Iris port for Forge. Allows for shaders without Optifine. Requires Rubidium.

4. Entity Culling - Prevents mobs that are behind walls from rendering.

@potent oriole ooooh thank you very much! I looked in the controls for vein miner and couldn’t find a section for it. I think the mod author/mod pack maker should add that or say to use the Tilda key to activate it maybe in the enchant book description
