I was poking around in the configs and I looked into the file for Bad Mobs and it doesn't look like anything's spawning is altered at all. Every mob listed can spawn normally, spawn from an egg, and spawn from a spawner and nothing has the override to not let it spawn.
So.... why is it in there? I'm not trying to second guess anyone and I'm assuming that it's doing something else with spawning rules it doesn't mention up front on it's page or in the config but I'm also putting together my own modpack currently and poking around in the guts of other modpacks is a lot of how I'm learning.

as we speak I managed to sort it, so with PebbleHost they have the option to use the preinstall version which still gave an error, but all I had to do was to delete the Excavated Variants folder inside the global resources and replace them with the client side version which had the correct ones

To increase the ram on your server open your start.bat (start.sh on mac or linux) scroll to the top and change the ARGS= section to
ARGS="-Xms<Min GB to allocate>G -Xmx<Max GB to allocate>"
Do not include the <> or the text inside them, replace it with a number!

hey, for some reason adding shaders really brings down my framerate with the modpack
i added complimentary shaders which i used before (and also with the oculus/non optifine setup) but now the frames just go from above 150 to below 20
and that just doesn’t seem right, what could be the issue here?
