im hoping to find help from this community about this modpack. Im trying to setup a server with this modpack but i keep running into the same issue no matter what version or files i put into the server itself. Im putting this server together so my friends and i can play together, but i keep runnign intot the same issue. Im missing about 45 mods from the server files when i install the modpack and it wont let us play. Is there a workaround/fix for this issue?

all the videos ive watched have either told me to do things that i cannot do or things that arent for an always-on server. for example, in the video you linked as an answer to my question, it says to use files that are not included in the server pack from forge, such as run.bat, installer log, and a jar file.

Look, I am sorry for getting heated, but you gotta understand my perspective as well. I've been trying to get this set up for over a week straight. I've watched too many tutorials and been to too many sites to list and theyve all told me that I need to do different things, most of which I can't do because the files I've downloaded from curseforge don't match the ones listed in those tutorials, or because it doesn't tell me where I need to go. I joined this server as a last resort because I haven't been understanding any of the stuff that's been explained to me, so I thought I could find someone here who's a bit more experienced and could walk me through this. I was already frustrated, so when I asked for help and the modpack's discord admins were telling me to explain something, and then saying that the little explanation I was able to put into words based on my limited understanding wasn't good enough, and telling me to do things I'd already said I didn't understand, I got more frustrated. Then being told to clear my cookies, which didnt fix the issue and resulted in me losing all my stored login information from every site I've ever been to, including sites like my job and my bank account login info, pushed be a bit over the edge. I am sorry for getting short but this whole thing has been a nightmare. I'm just going to wait on @leaden wagon who you said knows more about this stuff.

Im hosting a server using the BMC 1.16.5 but everytime a player disconnects, it can only reconnect after restarting the MC or else it will get stuck in Connecting to server and then get a server timeout error.

1. Its the stock BMC
2. using forge 36.2.34 as it is the recommended
3. 1.16.5 release
4. java 11 since got problems running java 8 with the server ram usage
   i think the other questions dont really relate to this issue

its just a weird problem since when running vanilla, this issue with the reconnection doesn't happen (only forge, no mods)

Well, it's impossible to install it directly from MultiMC due to what Curseforge is doing. So I had to manually add it to MultiMC. Which boils down to manually adding the forge version on a vanilla installation and copying all the files from the curseforge launcher over into the .minecraft folder so it works.

Make sure you have allocated the correct RAM amount. Overall, you can allocate 8gb if you have at least 12gb of ram total. The #faq has guides on how to allocate ram. There’s a ton of them. If you’re looking for skulls, a structure in the nether will spawn with an Incomplete Wither spawner. Each skeleton from that drops a head every time with a looting 3 sword.

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:

For 1.18.2 Forge: 1.18.2 comes with Oculus that gives you Shaders with 90% less load times. If you want to use Optifine then remove the Oculus, Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods then add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Make sure you have allocated the correct RAM amount. Overall, you can allocate 8gb if you have at least 12gb of ram total. The #faq has guides on how to allocate ram. You can remove the mods dynamicSurroundings / ImmseriveFX and SimpleRPC. In addition, you can try a more lightweight launcher like GDLauncher or MultiMC, guides are in the #faq on how to use them.
