Updating server is fine. For adding custom mods - corruption is unlikely, more likely a mod will just not work (compatibility issue) - but you need to test it yourself for whatever you're trying to add
And, as always, make a backup first

Fellow pack-making rookie:
When you become an expert at a creative skill, it can be hard to suggest a specific beginners guides because you generally tend to work much in a very different way a beginner's guide will suggest. Building a skill that can be expressed in so many different ways will always have hundreds of guides showing you dozens of different ways to achieve the same effect
Just pick a guide and watch it and repeat their steps and if you don't like the guide then choose another. That's the best recommendation I have heard.
When you get to a certain level of comfortability, you stop using beginner's guides and just use your own workflow.

Yeah! I am in the process of learning all this too, but I haven't used guides. I've just sort of bumbled around and looked up questions I've had on Discord searches it's how I found this lol trying to find resources on making server packs)
Where can we go to make a suggestion for this modpack/ aeronautics version? I understand why sophisticated back packs can't be added as people are already using the current back pack mod, but what about sophisticated storage? Not being able to have anything with stack upgrades is kind of rough. Also, maybe mega torch? There is nothing to stop mobs from spawning in or out of your base except hundreds of torches. Lol.

you can use openpac to disable mob spawns
also having backpacks that big will make it almost useless for a proper create storage system

Hi, I aam trying to create a server using the files from serverpack "Aoc_Aeronautics_v1.2_serverpack_fixed.zip" but when I run start.bat it just gives me the message "'PowerShell' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

sorry for not replying sooner, just woke up. when i try to load the world with just create, aero, and sable, it says "world cannot be loaded because of corrupted world data" (or something similar). the exact same world file works just fine in the modpack (apart from the engines)
you can make propellers, i think they are the main way of generating thrust
you can use either a propeller bearing to 'custom build' your own propeller, or use the propeller blocks

I am attempting to add resource packs to the modpack, but everytime I do they refuse to be enabled. Im guessing it has something to do with the resourcepack override mod. I attempted to add the additional resource packs into my config file for resourcepackoverrides, yet they still refuse to enable.
Am I missing something maybe?

So... to explain what I have done. I have launch my world,
I have been able to play for some minute when I have use the trowel because with vanilla block and some time after that my game crashed.
I don't think it's related with the trowel because it didn't crash automaticly when I used it and ... I don't think the Iris mod removed is normal because I didn't touch nothing... except adding Distant Horizon so it's weird
Searching recent discussions seems to suggest that trowel might be problematic
As a heads up DH can be performance draining
And seeing net.minecraft.world.item.ItemStack.save in the crash stack would increase my suspicion levels
And yes, DH definitely not helping, that mod has issues even with vanilla
even with my 2070 that mod kills frames heavily, acts like a high ping server and becomes unplayable

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
If you get an error in chat when trying to host your world, we highly recommend selfhosting instead as it's free, very easy, and much more stable. Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.

I have "only" an 4050 in my laptop and yes I consider DH can be the cause however I didn't had any drop of FPS before the crash (i was around 100 to 90 FPS even more)
for mine it showed high frames, but acting wise def wasn't the case

Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

What version is the modpack lol, I didn’t see, and if the sophisticated mods can’t work with the modpack version then lowkey I didn’t know
its a major version, things change, your not even supposed to update your modpacks across minecraft versions anyways. Backpacks are in the pack still just not sophisticated ones.
So I wanted to re-enable silver fish farms but I cant find the the datapack or string in the item obliterator file. in fact I cant find anything within configs relating to infested blocks or silver fish. Am I just missing it or is something wrong?
All I can find is this in stdout-logs.txt (there is one for every kind of infested block)

Hello, there is a conflict receipt of brass ingot. Instead of getting a brass ingot, the bowl can sometimes melt copper and zinc, and it doesn't mix them to get at least molten brass. What can be done in this situation?
I also had that issue and found out that if u take out the molten zinc and copper and put them back in, it will make the molten brass
Also, if u don't want them to melt and instead just want the copper and zinc ingots to turn into brass ingots, u can put a brass ingot as a filter on the basin and then it will no longer melt the stuff

hey ivs js installed all of create and added create aeronautics to it but when loaded up i got a crash report telling me that create:tradeworks was in version 21.1.221 nd needed to be in version 21.1.227 after a little look at that situation i couldnt figure out how to get that to work so instead i just turned of the mod in the modpack itself but now im getting a new crash report come through and im not sure what the reson is ive got the crash report copied and on hand if someone is able to help - it all of create v1.7 on curseforge

is anyone else getting an odd lag to contraptions? like flicking a redstone switch will turn its state to on, but it wont say power a clutch for a solid 2 seconds or so

From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Morning. I'm trying to find a way to play the new All of Create: Aeronautics with friends on my dedicated server. However, the server is extremely unstable, constantly crashing throughout the day.
I updated to the latest version, All of Create Aeronautics - v1.3, and it hasn't improved. The hardest part in figuring out what is going on is there are no crash logs. I checked the debug and regular logs, and it just goes from running normally to rebooting. I don't see any real crash events.
Anyone having anything similar happen?

Required:
Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.

I checked. I have the auto-restart on errors disabled.
A player could login and then it reboots. A player can just be standing idle, and it reboots. It happens at different times of day and different periods of time in between reboots.
Also, I created my own modpack with create aeronautics and some other mods using this modpack as inspiration. It does the same thing there as well.
The problem with the logs is they are what I sent you. It's a reboot, not a crash. So it just goes from normal to starting the server again.
I can grab more hours of logs if you think that would help.

Just building the issue seemed to be with a rotating bearing farm. The crash report was something to do with a rotating tick loop? No idea what that means tho
we really tried to figure it out and our new confusion is that for her it doesnt do it on singleplayer but does do it on the server where everything is default setting
yea was less bug report more just curiose if anyone else got it, just odd as its only that thats effected, no FPS drops, no lag in the contraption its self just a delay to Redstone signals

Howdy, I'm entirely new to Minecraft modding and create looked cool. I wanted to give this a try and- I am entirely intimidated on how to start
Hi Gus, if you want to install you can use Curseforge for ease of use. There are other launcher options but this one is the most user friendly for beginners. All of Create is a good modpack but does change some basics of Create (such as the items that make belts). Have you played any factory games before?
I have over a 1,000 hours in Factorio
and i used curseforge, downloaded the pack, and- currently got lost underground looking for iron
Ok, great so you have understanding of logistics and assembly paths.
To really get into the create you'll need to get to the nether to grab a blaze and get nether quartz to get brass but you can do some basic things before that.

its an issue with the create tradeworks mod
I recently started a server on All of Create - Aeronautics version 1.1 since then our members made lots of cool airships and whatnot, but today without any change to the server many weird issues started to appear revolving around simulated contraptions:
- The whole contraption behaves as if laggy, throttle levers visually don't change but the actual value still changes (for example setting a burner to max from zero will start to lift the airship but lever still looks as if was at zero
- Breaking blocks on a contraption behaves weirdly item diseapering, comparable to low TPS which isn't the case
- Sometimes airship appeared double one non contraption and the other moving contraption, when disassembled it seemegly looks fine
- The weirdest of them all - two contraptions that weren't next to each other have merged into one and duplicated for a brief moment. I was there so I'm unable to say if it was actually dupe or some desync

To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.

Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.

Hey there! I have a AOC based server (Added Create Aeronautics 1.0.3 and had to update Create from 6.0.9 to 6.0.10 to cause of dependencies).
The server is hosted by Bisect hosting.
Now... As soon as I Update Create Aeronautics from 1.0.3 to any more recent version the server crashes while booting. Did anyone of you guys got Aeronautics 1.1.3 added to AOC running on a server?

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Doesn't sound like a solution if it works just fine for others who also use CurseForge Wouldn't it be very likely that I encounter the same issue, I'll maybe try checking a fresh CurseForge install
the issue is curse loves to break downloads randomly. Usually it is from updating a pack, but sometimes it's just out of the blue and does happen quite often
Also while I do respect that you have ready responses and the crash reporting is buttery smooth, I feel like you are omitting my actual issue. By glancing at crash log it contains main cause as 'Cannot invoke "net.minecraft.client.player.LocalPlayer.getInventory()" because "this.minecraft.player" is null' wouldn't it more tied to what's on a server rather than client?
those are pretty vague things that crashing game can throw at us sometimes. I am suggesting atl as it's usually curse causing the issue from breaking upon updating a pack in your case.
It's often the best thing to start with as curse can just be really wonky

Found the actual solution, basically Voxy caused the crash because it tried to render block from removed tradeworks

I am going to try reimporting this pack via ATL to see if i can somehow remedy the issue. however, something tells me it wont exactly fix it, because i genuinely think i just broke something, or a version of java is missing
I caught a mod on Mixin that straight up failed to do its job, and i figured that was an issue. This was ran with JVM Launcher arguments to attempt to force the mixin though it didnt seem to work as the error mode did not change.

Those mods aren't in the official server, so there's no way you'd be able to play it
I was not attempting to connect to the official server, The video shows me attempting to connect to another modified client via Direct Connection.

The host (to lan) has their game working, it is not crashing, and they're able to host it. and yes, we added the same mods to our pack at the same time,
Also note, if i did not attempt to connect to their localhost server, i can load into a singleplayer world.
But if i attempt to connect (and fail) to their server, give up, and try to load Single Player. it crashes.
This is the strangest error i've ever seen and I,,, dont know how to fix it.

Greetings, I am currently having an issue with Aoc Aeronautics v1.3, I am using 1.21.1 neoforge, Prism launcher (friend using forge), minor mods added but issue was still present with completely clean pack. The issue is that when we use the connection via LAN server code the resulting game is unplayably out of sinc. I get lagged back, can't take actions, and constantly have to wait minutes to see the effect of actions in game. Disconnects are frequent. Both games are getting good fps and still run well, but just not the multiplayer.
Thank you for your help! I finally figured out the issue. It was a hard limit I had previously set on the memory, that triggered an instant reboot as soon as it was hit. Removing that limiter fixed the problem completely.

Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

yes, atl lets you pull from several places for packs and mods. Curse, modrinth, ftb, etc. Plus it doesn't break your downloads all the time. Much easier to modify and update packs properly.

I try to turn off Luna and connect using a VPN and it wont let me open it to LAN

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.

PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:

does it crash only on the world you're trying to ride the contraption, or new worlds too?
Whenever the contraption starts cutting rocks it crashes all nearby players, in a single player world it crashes as well
