Hey i need support with my instance crashing during launch. I was going to add a few extra mods to the pack, noticed a crash, and began working backwards. But for some reason even with the ONLY change being updating Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (And adding the new Iron Lib that it needs) it still crashes.

all of which need scrolls

manuscript is something else entirely, it's an eldritch school specific thing

the spell scrolls can be cast as is, it won't consume mana but it will consume the scroll

and it also won't trigger a cooldown

that's 1/3 ways to cast spell

second way is to put them onto spellbooks

you will need the inscription table for this

putting them in the book and then equipping the book in the curios slot will let you cast them using your mana and with cooldown but won't consume the scroll so you can cast as many time as you want with 1 scroll

the third way is to put the scroll onto a piece of equipment

you'll need the arcane anvil for this, some equipment just have a slot to do this

it's essentially the same as spellbook except for the fact that you'll be unable to take the scroll out

basically permanently put it onto the equipment, if you want to remove it then you have to use shriveling stone, that will wipe the inscribed spell but also doesn't give you back the scroll

eldritch spells need you to consume an eldritch manuscript first to learn it

before you can read what the scroll does

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

Hi. I run a public Otherworld server called Jewel. It's not on Bisect.

I had about 10 regular users until the other servers added Lootr. Now they're gone. And I think someone is crashing my server by manipulating bugs in the pack. I'm a suspicious bastard.

I can only check on it once or twice a day. Every time I go back it's crashed. I have it enabled as a system service to autorestart in 10 minutes. But the exit isn't clean. The restart never happens because the process is still running.

If everyone is bailing for EZ loot and I can't even keep my server up I might as well give up on this little hobby.

Any help would be appreciated. Logs attached. I had to truncate debug.log because they get long on a headerless server.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide. This guide's section regarding GraalVM is completely wrong from our own testing, and we recommend ignoring it.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

Neruina is never a cause of low TPS - but it wraps around all entities to be able to prevent them from crashing the game - and in Spark that will show as Neruina using the TPS - but you need to drill down to see which mod is causing this

build a small room around him (1 block of air and then just any solid blocks around + roof) before you break the block to summon him

he just stand still if he doesn't see you

Okay. I would say you could go with that aquimirae set, the one with tiara, make sure you don't have berserkers fury enchant at all, prot 4-5 on all pieces and good sustain either life leach or fast to cast healing
