sorry, new to curse forge and to playing minecraft java, and otherworld: so that being said, updated the game modpack to V5, after backing up my game. how can i load a previous created world in the new version. I did not see anywhere in game to set a " Save file " or " load instance " so i assume you would need to move some files around in the background. Not a huge deal if those games are gone, Just don't want to have to tell my 12 year old he needs to start from scratch if I don't have to.

I don't know the folder structure of the backups folder.
What I can say is "Instances" is your current modpack's installation, and "Instances\Otherworld [Dungeons & Dragons]\saves" is where your world is saved at.

What I've always done is this:

1. Copy/paste what's in "Instances\Otherworld [Dungeons & Dragons]\saves" in another place.
2. Delete and redownload the modpack
3. Place the previously copied folder into "Instances\Otherworld [Dungeons & Dragons]\saves"

2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
