Cursed Wraithguard Set, I'd say. Due to being the only armor I have seen that buffs arrow damage
So until then, don't really matter, because no other armor buffs ranged damage
Perhaps depends on the spells you have access to, if any.

Because the immunities are likely not given by the modpack devs, but by mod devs is my guess. In example: Cataclysm bosses have a damage cap on them.

Overall, if you want an easy time as melee against bosses, you need Current HP Damage gems. If they don't have a damage cap, their health should go poof.

The way you do it is that you keep reforging an item, looking for the +1 socket modifier, instead of removing previous iteration of it adding a gem socket, it stacks them on top of each other and later when you switch to a different & better modifier, you keep said sockets.

and if you get stronger and able to kill them they give decent loot

duegar is the one I would pick. +2 con, darkvision, and +1 int plus poison resistance are all good
you generally want at least 4 intelligence to read enchantment books so the bonus to that is points you can invest elsewhere
and constitution basically doubles your max health once leveled to 20 too, making it basically mandatory in my opinion
