Imo way too many "hardcore" packs are just packs that have a difficult initial start but then have absolutely no mid-game or end-game. Where their finale is "just go kill this slightly harder Ender Dragon".

Draconic Evolution has a bad history of being used for end game content. Which sucked because how the Chaos Dragon is designed. You're generally forced to throw out everything you've earned the entire pack and forced to use DE gear for the battle

in the case of rlcraft it's slightly easier ender dragon if you don't get fked over by rng and have to fight a blighted one

In my personal opinion hardcore is something that is punishing, unforgiving, inconsistent, and challenging the entire playthrough no matter what gear or items you get or how far you have progressed. Hardcore is something that must keep you on your toes at all times, never give you a respite, and punishes you for carelessness - sometimes even punishes you for almost no reason at all. Hardcore never lets you get comfortable and is never predictable. Has to be an evolving experience as well where as you progress the difficulty follows suit.
However, I would accept a general definition of 'hardcore' to be something that is incredibly challenging [to the average player] to complete or to get started in.
For example, the game Elden Ring does not fit my first definition but does fit the second.
if you got good gear the fight is very quick , unless you get horrible luck and have to fight a blighted one
So if DawnCraft wants to call itself hardcore I do not disagree, but it does not fit my first definition

Trench your base
Trapdoor your trench so they walk in, bamboo spikes at the bottom
Line the bottom of your trench with stairs facing eachother and water log the stairs to prevent creepers from blowing them up
Was planning on having a base slightly lifted up from the ground
Imma be real with you, I don't ever recommend that because I don't think its fun
BUT
Elevated base over water takes out 90% of the threats
Atleast the ones coming to you
Early on invest in a jukebox, get happy music discs. Get a dog and/or a cat, I don't know if they stack on bonuses, and carpet
You can go from 0 to 100 in sanity if you are indoors, playing happy music near pets, and doing laps on carpet
download catjam and get some cats to dance around the jukebox

Best way I found was using servercore and pregen while lowering the server view distance to 2 (as clients have a mod to keep chunks loaded)

you see i kind of need iron to survive in dungeons in the first place, but it is alright, with the help of my lovely slaves friends i have gathered a good amount of iron

They can spawn anywhere, Regional Variants exist based on climate class. Because each empty streach of land is competeing for a diceroll of a large mod structure (Made very bad by COTW and Spore adding 20 Strucuture post mod packs creation), you will need ot run around to find it.
Villages have guaranteed spots by chunk distance so you don't worry about those taking the slots

or the ones that generates structures more especifically
the old ai and the stairwell will generate constantly and can be very annoying, specially the stairwell one because its blocks are indestructible.
if you delete those mods it won't break anything, maybe will make their places on the world empty but it's better than having indestructible blocks on undesired places.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.
To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Yes but they’ve change how it works,
it's not accessible yet, in 1.19 the aether was an endgame dimension, in this pack (on chapter 6) the aether will have a lot of custom content inside it, hence why it's not available yet. The mod is installed just to make things easier

What I am currently doing is digging a moat and filling it with water. I am then creating a three block high wall with spikes on it facing the water (and on top). Plus putting torches everywhere. What else should I do?

put the settings of the shader to quality or cinematic
by default it has upscaling so players get the best performance, as the shader enabled by default and not everyone can run shaders at a stable fps on higher quality settings

Traveler's Backpack is being a bit buggy for me but its finally working
Im experiencing a plethora of issues when it comes to hosting on a server, upon fresh install the pack is fine until a restart, then it doesn't restart and gets stuck on "ThreadedAnvilChunkStorage: All dimensions are saved"
then after i force stop the server and start it back up im met with this error, and it persists even after generating a new world (im using the latest version

i encountered this error while testing and it was caused by a mod mismatch
so they probably didn’t install the server properly

I turn Curios Integration to On and was able to use B to open it after equipping it with the button

For the backpack to beable to go on your back
And beable to constantly use B to open it
If ur backpack is shown in that place in your inventory itll work
But for w/e reason its auto equipping things that can go into your curio back slot

Like take 2 backpacks each different ones. The first time you rigth click with one itll put it into your curio slot even if you hit the button. Go to the second backpack and right click it and hit the button to put it on your back.
Itll put the second one into your curio slot
and put the first one you did on your back
And youll beable to use B to open it

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.
To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Light variations in modpacks, compounded by shaders, make it nearly impossible to know for certain if your base is spawn proof

I think the integration is only supposed to be off if you don't have a curio, since it makes a fake invisible slot for the backpack to go when there isn't a back slot
Just make sure you don't have the backpack equipped when you flip the setting
