Amendment's lectern UI won't turn off | Supplementaries | Page 1

This isn't a crash, so I'm not sure what to post (I'll post my latest anyway I guess?)
I have Scribble 1.4.4 installed alongside Amendments 1.2.18 installed. I use Configured, and it says the improved screen is turned off. Ok! Cool! And then when I check the lectern, the improved screen is still on.
And you might say "restart MC". I did. It automatically turns the improved screen BACK on. I checked the config file, it says Improved Screen is off (while Minecraft is closed). I reopen MC, join the server, and the screen is turned back on visually & in the config??
Any help would be appreciated.
