still a rendering mod
there was one which altered how tint worked
like for biome grass color and such

also cool particles rendering didnt break too. that would have been a nightmare
usually translucency is the first thing to break with thise mods. months ago i think iris would render all the jar contents pitch black
me neither, but doesnt hurt to check anyway
literally, particles are just a big pain
I use Rubidium.
Everything seems fine.
Give mod list and I'll try to point what it can be.
Probably old forge version or Distant Horizon.
If not, try to get this out too.

You should always use latest forge.
Yeah, I know all of that. But they are always a bit sus. I had UI crashes with canary, while it was for entirely different thing.

well, interestingly
glowlights fixed by removing rubidium and rubidium extras and textrues rubidium settings
still have weird antialiasing dots on the canvases

coloured dyes work
and glow ink sacs do nothing
thats odd must be another one

yeah i only ever heard of the dye issue

also try a white one, a black one is hard to spot as its very very similar to pitch black to begin with

i still think the blackboard should have more of a dirty texture
thing with shade however isnt then not catching light its then not having ambient occlusion
which could stillbe an issue. it was in the past
(obviously less exagerrated than that)
very noticeable when multiple placed next to eachother
kidn of hard to make one that is subtle enough to accept color but also looks like a blackboard we need to bother @unique beacon

Turning biome blend to 0 with rubidium works as a workaround. But of course biomes won't have any color blending at borders

so, we know the glow lights are from some rubidium extras
slightly better
but of course the sides are untextured
still think it lacks texture, but is a better brightness IMO
as blackboards are never pure black
also interesting thing, the highlighted pixel shows up even in spectator mode when holding the dye
despite not being able to actually interact

tho reminds me reason the original texture was a bit more purplish was because i wanted to get some blacksstone echo in but i guess that didnt work out well

they feel on par, if not better, and more well executed, then old Minecraft updates (I don't care too much for the latest ones...) absolutely adore all you work on, it's super super good and vanilla, love it!
oh definitely, joined worldedits earlier to try and get information on a lacking / removed feature, and was met with absolute bluntness in the form of downright rude comments from noone else than the developers :')

though in redoing the texture to the point that it's much lighter, you ca now see the gradient of the ambient occlusion very... strongly
i assume that it was increased to a higher strength before to account for the decreased visibility in the darker texture, but now it looks pretty uh... 2000s websitey.
still always so cool to actually see a frigging working canvas in minecraft, absolutely insane, and only just figured out today you could make lanterns fall and shatter, that is pretty god damn sick
