Good question, a lot of natives don't know the difference either

必需 = [verb/adjective] Necessity. Can also be used to form compound nouns like 必需品 and 必需元素
e.g.
糧食是人類必需的食物。
牙刷牙膏是必需的日用品。
植物必需陽光和水才能生長。

必須 = [auxiliary verb] Must, have to.
e.g.
明天你必須來上班。
入境時必須攜帶護照。

The biggest difference between the two is that 必需 is used for objective requirements and 必須 is used for subjective requirements.
