Having the ability to freeze the asset is a good idea at this point I think. Incase we get hacked, the team could freeze the stolen ships and airdrop us new. Shouldn't the last update have fixed the login issue? I've tried linking several different wallets using various seed phrases, but I still end up with a random wallet address being linked to my account—an address that is completely unknown to me and does not correspond to any of my actual wallets.

What is this mess? I really don’t understand how you could have screwed up the login system so badly and still haven’t been able to fix it after two months . Even after taking extensive troubleshooting steps, the problem persists:

I deleted the folders in AppData\Local\StarAtlas, but the same issue occurred.
Then, I completely uninstalled Star Atlas and re-downloaded it from scratch via the Epic Games Store—still the same issue.
Finally, I searched my entire PC for "staratlas" and deleted every related folder I could find. Still, the problem remains.
It's just absolutely hilarious at this point. Am I really in the wrong movie here? How is this still happening, and why is everyone acting like it's normal?

No Im trying to understand how much it cost to run the game, so I keep a close eye on the Vault.
So yesterday my routine (scanning, mining) cost a little less than 100 Atlas. No purchases.
Today, after only beginning my routine and doing like 2 scans my Vault is down almost 2000 Atlas. Still with no purchases.

You might have paid for some rent accounts interacting with resources and crew. You’ll get these back after you unload it again. The thing is (at least to my knowledge) you get it back in sol, so keep an eye on your sol balance inside your vault as well

Its possible they're slightly outdated though. Keep in mind you pay a 15% premium when using prime to make up for the volatility of atlas.
Regarding homebase, it doesnt matter at which starbase you are. The fees dont change. Phantom wallet might charge extra priority fees, solflare is usually cheaper in my experience.

You will need crew only for the browsergame. For UE5 you can use the crew as your avatar, but you could also play without.
The ship upgrade modules are not necessary to play the game. That willbe implemented at a later point in time

I have been experiencing this issue since the beginning of BASED. Even though the transaction goes through successfully (verified on SolScan), the UI of BASED still shows a full cargo. They don't have time to fix this because they're busy launching ship parts, ship skins, and organizing Golden Ticket carnivals for whales. But hey, this is pre-alpha, so don't worry, they'll fix it one day.

What? Are you kidding? 😂 This issue has been known since the last update in December. You can’t import and link an existing wallet in the UE version, you have to create a new wallet in the game and transfer your assets to it.

  otherwise you have to reimport your wallet after every login
• after deleting the old profiles on your next login just create a new profile and import your wallet again

This workaround only fixes the "invalid password" issue, but we’re talking about random wallet addresses linking to the game wallet. For example, I tried linking 3 different wallets with their seed phrases, but the game always links the same (wrong) wallet.
I even deleted everything Star Atlas-related and redownloaded it from Epic, still can’t link my own wallets.
I also tested it on a friend’s PC. After entering his seed phrase, he got the same wrong wallet linked to the game as I did.

I'm in MUD so I don't know what normally is in MRZ-22, but your screenshot shows System Richness as 0 so Silica is not present there. But yes they probably should prevent you from attempting to mine it

i encounterd this issue before. Took quite a bit of research to figure out why I couldnt mine the resource even though it was displayed in the details section. if there was an easy way to identify certain things, such as what "system richness" meant, it may have helped. The game development is very early still. Hopefully they fix things like this to help players understand certain mechanics like this easier, without having to waste time or go all out searching for answers.

I'm just pissed b/c i tried fueling up my fleet at one of my faction's zones when SL was glitching out, maybe during an update and apparently the transaction didn't go through, by the time i realized i didn't get the fuel that i thought i had, the nearest mrz was mud, so now this fleet i did all this work acquiring SDU's is now stuck at MRZ-12 and I can't fuel up there to get home. Can't dock there even.

I have shit ton of fuel and another fleet that can go rescue them, but no way to do it currently i guess...

I don't really need to buy from MRZ12, just the ability to go rescue and trnsfer fuel from other fleet...

Try again with food loaded instead of toolkits, and it should work.
Also make sure to check out the “ships” section on atlas.eveeye.com (upper right somewhere). It should tell you exactly how much food each scan/ship uses

In all honesty, faction fleet is not really worth your time. The amount you get from there is not much (especially if you have to buy the resources yourself).
Best is to get familiar with the mechanics of the game (scanning, mining, crafting, trading) and once fleet rentals go live you can just rent the fleet you want for a few weeks #📢┃announcements message

When you remove it from enlistment it should just be in your wallet (be aware, you first need to fill up the toolkits to repair it before you can take it out).
Food for scanning goes into crago, yes. Check eveeye for how much food you consume per scan

It sets automatically. You cant pick the crew yourself, as soon as you enter them into sage they become generic and it doesn’t make a difference

You have to pay the transaction cost anyways, yes. But it should be very low (less than a cent).
The bigger costs is for your rent account. You get that back after unloading the resources again
