Depending on your location, some crypto marketplaces already carry the coin. FTX and Kraken for example. But if you are located in the states, I do not currently know of one that allows straight purchase. However, if you have a coin in your wallet already, you can use a conversion tool (I use https://raydium.io) to convert one coin to Star Atlas.

no worries man! We all start new at one point or another. In theory yes. But for Star Atlas game you will need a Solana wallet. The recommended is Phantom Wallet, and is what I use also. So you could purchase Solana on say coinbase.com or crypto.com, and send that to your phantom wallet, then convert SOL over to ATLAS

so are you putting in a "buy" price or paying for the "ask" price of the ship

the buy is an open order(price you want to pay for a ship) the ask is what the seller is wanting to sell the ship

Hi there. I just bought some ships and was able to enlist one fleet. I have another fleet of ships that I am trying to enlist. When it comes time to sign this transaction in my wallet it says Transaction Simulation and there is a tab to click that says reload. Nothing appears to happen if IK click reload. I also get an error message that says "Failed to simulate transaction on mainnet." I have tried repeatedly and can't figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated!

We have identified a common problem people are having withdrawing ships. This happens when you Enlist your ships to the Faction fleet, and then reclaim your ships rent accounts in your Solana wallet. Without a rent account, if you try to withdraw your fleet there is no where for the ships to go, and withdraw fails. I've put together a quick and dirty way to create a rent account, while we work on a proper fix for this, and will post it here now.

In addition to this make sure you have at least 1 unit of Food, Fuel, and Ammo in your inventory, you need those to have a rent account too.

*edit Another easy way to create a rent account is to place an order (for any amount) for the ship / resource you are trying to purchase. Then cancel the order.

you can only get to a real "100%" when you unstake, since your ships are on mission they in use atm, so they loose resources every second in that sense.

you probably just made an buyorder check bottom right where you bought and make sure you got the right tab atlas or usdc, on mac and lower resolutions you might have to zoom out to see the open orders, cheapest askprice is the cheapest you can buy right away
if you have an open order you can cancel it and reclaim your money in the inventory. also be safe dont take any private messages scammers targeting people who seek help

Why is the fee so high?

⦁ Actually, its not, here's the thing - Solana is decentralized and uses Serum DEX for trading. Star Atlas merely uses Serum DEX for marketplace behind the scene.
⦁ You pay 0.023 for each trading pair for Serum and this is refundable if you decide to stop playing.
⦁ So there are trading pairs for: Ships and Each of the 4 resources - food, fuel, ammo and tools.
⦁ So 0.092 SOL for buying each resource + your ship trading pair deposit = 0.115 SOL + actual ship cost in USDC/Atlas
⦁ The 0.092 SOL you paid for resources is one-time only, subsequent transactions to buy resources cost merely 0.000005 SOL tx fee apart from the resource cost.
⦁ Whenever you want, you can get a refund for these trading pair deposits on: https://sonar.watch/tools/serum-dex under accounts - you can cancel. This does not affect your existing purchases but not recommended as it can cause some issues while withdrawing fleets. Suggest to get a refund only when you decide to stop playing.

This happens when you Enlist your ships to the Faction fleet, and then reclaim your ships rent accounts in your Solana wallet. Without a rent account, if you try to withdraw your fleet there is no where for the ships to go, and withdraw fails. I've put together a quick and dirty way to create a rent account, while we work on a proper fix for this, and will post it here now.

Your problem should be solved by going to https://app.step.finance/#/dashboard . Connect your wallet there and go to the dashboard, scroll down a little bit and you should see open orders or unsettled balances.
If you see an open order, cancel it and post a new one (remember to add 0.23% extra USDC to cover Serum fees). If you see unsettled balances please click on claim and you should receive them in your wallet

Why is the fee so high?

⦁ Actually, its not, here's the thing - Solana is decentralized and uses Serum DEX for trading. Star Atlas merely uses Serum DEX for marketplace behind the scene.
⦁ You pay 0.023 for each trading pair for Serum and this is refundable if you decide to stop playing.
⦁ So there are trading pairs for: Ships and Each of the 4 resources - food, fuel, ammo and tools.

hi, well did you enlist the bombers? if yes they should be in the faction fleet, each shiptype has its own fleet, after you enlist them you wont see them in your wallet/inventory no more, you would have to unstake the fleet. first off all i suggest a clear browsercache hard refresh ctrl+f5 reconnect the wallet, if something is missing you could check on solscan for suspicious activities in your wallet.

if you got compromised, act quick create a new wallet with a new seedphrase and transfer everything over, also be safe and dont take any private messages scammers looking here and target people who seek help.

I just get the spinning circle indicating the wallet knows there was a transaction but unable to display it. According to the Phantom FAQ the problem goes back to the minting of this NFT and has to be sorted out by the Minter ... hence why I am here. Where does a person go in here for NFT minting issues?

When I bought the NFT, it was indeed a buy order and for the going price, not the cheapest, so the Buy order went through immediately. No different than buying a stock or an option on the NASDAQ.

My difficulty appears to be with the minting. Any guidance you have for going forward is helpful.

Hi Darwin. Unfortunately my issue is a bit more complicated. I have already enlisted some ships (They recently achieved "hardened" status, and I could not be more proud of their achievement). When I go to fleet management->ship management I am told there are 0 ships to enlist even though my 2 Unibombas are in my inventory. Previously I transferred them from the Sol wallet I used to purchase them to my Phantom wallet. I have also reclaimed my 0.025 Sol "rent" and I wonder if that was required to enlist them.

Go to the market, make a low buying offer for an Unibomba. The payment of the fee will pop up again, pay it by confirming the transaction. The rent account will be open again, just cancel the market offer and get back to enlist your ships ^^

Why is the fee so high?

⦁ Actually, its not, here's the thing - Solana is decentralized and uses Serum DEX for trading. Star Atlas merely uses Serum DEX for marketplace behind the scene.
⦁ You pay 0.023 for each trading pair for Serum and this is refundable if you decide to stop playing.
⦁ So there are trading pairs for: Ships and Each of the 4 resources - food, fuel, ammo and tools.
⦁ So 0.092 SOL for buying each resource + your ship trading pair deposit = 0.115 SOL + actual ship cost in USDC/Atlas
⦁ The 0.092 SOL you paid for resources is one-time only, subsequent transactions to buy resources cost merely 0.000005 SOL tx fee apart from the resource cost.
⦁ Whenever you want, you can get a refund for these trading pair deposits on: https://sonar.watch/tools/serum-dex under accounts - you can cancel. When you start you fleet enlistment, you pay a sal fee thats higher than the other ones. This is you "opening" an temporary account in the chain so you can "play" Score. Some people close it to recover this fee (something like 0,02 SOL) before they delist the fleet and, then, the claim is broken until you re-open it 😛

ok, so a few things to try. Make a buy order for like .01 atlas on the ship you are trying to claim atlas from also purchase like 1 atlas from like raydium, jup or orca

most likely there isn't a "rent" fee setup somewhere and that's why it keeps failing

So that is essentially you just putting out there what you would like to purchase a ship at. You will have to wait for a seller to "agree" to that price otherwise you will need to cancel the buy order and purchase the lowest ask to get it immediately
