Ok. I'm going to explain where I am at, and if anyone can guide me in the right direction that would be amazing.

*First, I have an FTX US account which has $50USD in it currently.
*Second, I have a phantom wallet extension added to my chrome with 0 balance
*Third, I have connected my phantom wallet to Star Atlas

So I am not sure where to go here. Do I buy SOL to pay the fee for the faction or am I able to pay it in ATLAS/ POLIS?

I want to be able to at least join a faction and then purchase a ship if I choose. So what would I need in order to achieve this initial goal? I don't want to buy SOL when I needed one of the other two, and I don't want to buy one of the other two if I needed SOL.

Alrighty so the steps for you would be

1. Buy SOL on FTX and move it to your Phantom Wallet
2. Connect to Star Atlas and select your faction
3. Convert some of your SOL to usdc or atlas through Ftx, raydium, orca or some other CEX/DEX in the amount you need to buy a ship (leave enough sol for gas fees)
4. Head to the marketplace and purchase your ship
5. Hold your remaining sol, or convert some of it to atlas or polis. Make sure you leave enough sol in your wallet for gas fees (i try to keep 0.03 sol)
