Yeah, its much more friendly than SAGE atm. The ships are the same as the assets. The stats are a bit different in holosim than SAGE, but the basic functions of the ships work the same. Miners, mine. Fighters, fight. So you'll get to start learning the assets and see which ones you may be interested in actually purchasing

just remember, its not a copy of SAGE, it is diff, and geared to be faster pace than SAGE. So dont expect a purchase you make to be exactly what you had in holo

but should be very similar

At the moment Star Atlas has 3 major modules:

• Holosim: The F2P Version to learn how the real game works. You can go easy on that one, the new Chapter is pretty polished and very game oriented.

• Sage: The real on chain game, which you will need assets to start with, you can purchase assets on the Galactic Marketplace with either USDC or ATLAS currency.

• Unreal Engine 5: This is the final game, SAGE will be implemented here as well in the future. At the moment its in a tech-demo state, with a playable Single Player campaign but its almost a sandbox, no real economy included until we have a solid anticheat system in place. Its a work-in-progress and will change multiple times, dont rely too much on the current state, it will be polished and improved regularly. It's progressing slowly currently due to a major focus on the upcoming release of C4 (new chapter of Sage and Zink, new chain on which the game will run)

Ink is not a currency, is a resource you can obtain only by playing the UE5 game and you can sell on the marketplace but you can keep it for the future as well (more use cases coming with new updates), your choice!

As for making money, you can either sell Ink as I said (ink is airdropped regularly once a month) or you can play Holosim and try to get a high position in leaderboard. This Chapter has good rewards in game assets!

The number of units mined is different than what shows up at the base

Some mined item will auto unload. Some won't. Some don't show up in the hanger until I refresh again.

Hi, can you explain how to understand the characteristics of the ships and why some have 0 mining? I often pair the Airbike with the Maxhog or the Armstrong Tip with the Maxhog. But the Maxhog, which is for transport, provides ammo, not the Armstrong, which is for mining. Mining isn't possible with ammo? Why are they limited to the Maxhog?

Imo earlier honestly is better, because if him breaking up is the worst that can happen -- and if we acknowledge that him doing so would demonstrate hes not for you anyway -- then getting that over with sooner vs later is a service to your future sober-life happiness
