To be fair, we should never adjust recipes to match secondary market. Those recipes sets the floor based on resources and time. The buybacks are based on the secondary market. If the market is selling higher than recipes than people will arb that opportunity. Until it closes.

It's far superior to several freighters, actually. Because you can use the HUGE fuel tank to move fuel + cargo.

A bit situational, but if you have a bigger operation going on, you'll need to move fuel around, and the R8 is the best ship for that.

The picture becomes clearer on zink xp.. I think I can see that there is a cap for Sage play xp... after climbing the ranks, I have now entered a stasis/equilibrium spot.. where we are all just earning progress at the same rate so no movement upwards in rank, just in xp number... So to progress, I now have to do something other than just play SAGE. 🙂

Purchasing from the team is hard now BTW.... only a few ship types are avail from the team directly, and those are priced to far above the market rate for anyone to seriously consider them.... My humble recco to the team would be to lower those prices down to closer to market rate so we can clear out inventory... I get the fear of setting the ceiling lower, but lets be real... a lot of those are not moving at all.... the faster we clear out inventory, the faster we get to 100 percent market driven pricing...

I thought I remember hearing in a brew or in a forum here that the team was going to adjust the team pricing to be closer to market pricing? Did I mis hear that or was it wishful thinking? LOL...

Now that Sage is maxed, that means the only way to keep moving up the zink ladder is to purchase stuff from the team (not a lot of opportunities to do that), play UE5, or stack/stake Polis.

I am going to pick one to start tracking an estimate of how much zink xp rewards you get per method... 🙂

For the team to consider: setting a fixed rate on zink xp for Sage versus it being tied to scale takes away an incentive to keep stacking ships if you cannot earn more zink xp as a variable versus a fixed cap or ceiling approach... Why? 1) Because not many ships are for sale directly from the team, 2) the ones that are available are priced MUCH higher than the market in many cases making it not a good investment to buy ships directly from the team due to atlas being low/risk, 3) Even if you grow your fleet (transaction revenue to team, etc.) you dont earn any more zink xp once you hit the ceiling... so once you are xp maxed on Sage, you are not incented to buy more from the MP... unless it is crew of course, but even then, you will ceiling out on zink xp and only increase your speed/share of atlas reward...

Not sure what it would do to the price of things like ships (probably very low impact I would assume), but it would add "new inventory" that could yield fees to the team at the very least...

The reason you don't climb spots is because pretty much everyone is stagnant as far changing their operations/adding more fleets.

Good to know.. as my stacking is way higher than what I can craft... So following your logic, if I periodically stop accruing and craft everything up to composites/parts, etc. that should burn my consumables and earn me more zink xp versus just having millions of raw stuff sitting until I can get to it... IE. Crew is my true limiting factor in game play right now..

Part of it is a bit of strategy/accumulation... I have some things slowly accruing in the background in anticipation of better crafting recipes/objects later, while I focus the bulk of activity on trying to be a) self reliant (not buying missing mats from the market) and b) builidng out our bases... any funds in atlas I get go to crew, as I think that is my bottle neck.

Example- I dont have a lot of scanners... but I have a single fleet of 3 opods slowling building up SDUs.

I dont spend those though, as most of my fleet is around mining/transporting... when I say that, unfortunately, not with miner ships... I am way heavier on fighters that mine...
