Or how this new product are going to make the things better?!! We are nearly dying and still spending money on things that are not important or at least not more important than find a solution on $ATLAS or on how to try to build back an Economy that was actually good until not long time ago.. it’s true about all web3 it’s doing bad and that the market it’s not doing so good in the last months, but to me it’s seams more an “excuse”! I rarely say something in SA server but it seems important for me - as an OG and a small player - to back this up. Hattori is right : ships prices were too high from the beginning and unrealistic considering the conditions of the market, even since 2021. In that sense, the recent fall in ships price isn't such a bad news because it brought back especially medium or large ships to a range of prices which is way more reasonable and realistic. In a way, and since its creation, SA had been also a patience game for small players, grinding and waiting for ships to be brought slowly to more affordable prices. Throughout years, SA market adjusted, slowly but surely. Now it appears that crafting recipes are disconnected from SA market (mamba). And that's too bad because ships crafting can be a strong incentive especially for small players, as Sage Labs already demonstrated it not so long ago. I'm writing this here in the hope it could provide some helpful feedback to the team because i truly want this project to succeed and attract new players and i'm also truly amazed by what was accomplished and very conscious and saddened by the sacrifices that were made. So my opinion is just worthy of itself and i'm not the one building a metaverse here but as being part, since the beginning, of this community i see useful to express these views as well as my admiration for what was already made in U5 or in terms of blockchain mechanism with Sage. One last thing i wanted to point out is the socializing aspect of SA which is very important if you consider how this community can be still resilient and alive. Could it be even more acknowledged and emphasized in game by the use of a more elaborated chat and social features in Sage or U5 U5 ? In short when will you open the bar in Volant station guys ? Keep up the good work anyway we all wish a bright future for SA

  • Permits will be bought in chapter 2. From the vendors in game
  • Same thing here as sage, all ships can mine, some better than others. You protect your miners with Fighters

Youre not missing out bro, youre in at a great time. Single player in Ue5 game is very VERY early. It will continue to get better.

Holosim will always be seasonal. Chapter 2 will come on the 19th. Then sometime later will end. Everytime a chapter/season ends, the entire community gets reset and we all start back at day 1 for the following chpter/season. So even if you get behind there, will always be another season or chapter for you to try again.

SAGE assets wont be dirt cheap like they are atm forever. At least imo. Personally, im stacking whatever i can for ships/crew right now while they are low. I agree with HAMMM

I don’t plan to visit the US because border authorities can search and copy your phone or laptop without a normal warrant. They can go through messages, photos and social media from past years, and refusing to unlock your device can lead to being denied entry if you’re not a US citizen. Even if it doesn’t happen often, I’m not comfortable with that level of privacy risk when traveling. Good news the Italians might still work on a big Meetup.

Indeed, after changing the RPC, fleets started showing up in Sage, but the rental section still doesn't show a single fleet. I have about 100 fleets and am incurring significant losses because I can't manage the rentals. Perhaps there's a feature within Sage where I can remove fleets from rental or change the rental price?

I am sure Lerinor will have a much more articulate answer as he's on the inside, but ship buybacks benefits the whole community no matter who sells. There are now 50 less Mamba EXs circulating in the Star Atlas ecosystem, and that much less resource extraction, meaning everyone elses' Mamba EXs have a little more equity in the ecosystem. Another reason they should be doing this with all ships (non-craftable too) to truly benefit all ship owners in the community.

Yeah, it wasn't a very good execution of a potentially very good plan/idea.

It got delayed, mainly because of the person responsible for executing it being tied up with other dev stuff.

Now, about how it was done: indeed, anything related to marketplace will always be tainted with bots. I've been trying to voice this concern not for months, but for years, and if anything, this last chapter just showed how detrimental marketplace bots are for this project. Providing liquidity my @ss, lol!

In all seriousness: we don't know if/when another round will happen, but it needs to be done differently. There are some very nice ideas coming from the Econ Vantarah about how to basically render bots useless in this situation, and we'll keep discussing it and trying to work together with the team to improve things.

part of the issue here is that the buyback is directly from the atlas emissions, 2 I don't think the team expected all 50 to be filled instantly because of the value of the ship in sage and further value in c4, also if bots are selling the ships to those orders it now removes the ships from the hands of the bots and will eventually remove all the ships that are scooped up by bots if its expanded to other ships this is not exactly good for the botters ether

There should be some target level that wants to be achieved based on user activity of how many ships (or value of ships) to be burned, then strategically work toward that goal for all ships of all classes over time. I don't even care if 100% of ATMTA revenue from ship sales goes toward that initiative, at some point, the spread between buy and sell orders would be so tight, that bots would be mostly priced out.

Do they actually limit you from buying in different local markets? I'm not saying UI but the core program? I thought you could buy anywhere. You can disband fleets in mrz's not css? You need to have single ship nfts to sell. My next thought is you still have timezone and front running issues. Right now it's "man I was asleep when they posted" now it'll be I was asleep when they posted and it took my 3 hours to fly my fleet there and by the time I disbanded it was filled

Sooo we need to change the game to make it work. Where my idea leverage the galatic marketplace as it is today. It forces people to create sell orders which ATMTA will purchase using a program that ensures random selection within a specific spread set by them. All based on the USDC side of the marketplace
