Tbh the game's pretty good despite all the assholes, its also cool to see how the AI adapts. Like when we find a new meta to kill certain types, they learn how combat that. Nah its an extraction shooter. Aka you go in on a map, there's plenty of different tier loot, you gather and upgrade your skills and crafting skills etc. But there's NPC's out there which in this case is deadly robots that gets smarter and smarter as people figure good ways to kill them, they adapt to the meta and counters, terrifying at times 😂 but its also PvP so other raiders are out there. You can cooperate as well as fight eachother. But latley everyone has trust issues so its more of a shoot on sight basis now 😂.

In short: 30 min countdown, go in, loot, fight to survive, extract before the timer or die from a nuclear blast / repeat.

Argueably the best extraction shooters out there, gameplay is solid, story is good and its not too hardcore nor too arcade.

If so, this puts early investors — those who have supported the project from the very beginning and up to this day, many of whom have not sold their ATLAS or their NFT ships and continue holding them — in a more vulnerable position compared to new participants.

We would also like to note that the StarAtlas team has indeed sold a significant amount of ATLAS, and we understand that this is necessary to cover salaries, development, and ongoing project operations. We recognize that this is a normal part of building and maintaining such a large-scale product. However, it is also important to acknowledge that investors have been waiting, believing, and supporting the project through the years. Now, as the economic situation and the Federal Reserve’s policy are improving, many expect a positive shift in the overall crypto market — including StarAtlas.

Therefore, we would like to understand how the team plans to protect the interests of those early participants who supported the project throughout its entire journey, and how trust in the ecosystem will be maintained as pricing policies evolve.

The plan is not to just “match current floor prices and undercut everyone”,

can also buy ships from players using ATLAS emissions.
So in theory, that system should support existing holders rather than dump on them – but yeah, execution and transparency will matter a lot if we want early supporters to feel protected.

Right now, the DAO is not yet in a position to “take over” from ATMTA on core economic operations. A lot of what’s happening is still very much ATMTA-driven, with the DAO working more like an additional governance/game loop on top. Long term, yes, decisions like this should move more and more into decentralized processes – but we’re simply not there structurally or operationally yet.

This is a tricky subject: What is the plan for current ships?
• If Star Atlas allows crafting of the current ships, the quantity will go up, and the price come down. It seems there was talk in the forum that there will be new ships for crafting but not the ones purchased. This would preserve the number of ships that are already out there and may help preseve the value paid for the ships. I've seen postings from people that they bought legendary ships because they saw the number of the ships available. Maybe they were assuming there would never be more crafted? Assuming the rarity would always be kept?
• There is no current destruction sink to try and keep the number of ships down if crafting is opened up to the public. This brings out another question: will ships be destroyed in future versions of the game? This would allow some mechanism to balance out crafting of new ships. But would be extremely painful when any ship that costs more than $100 is destroyed. Imagine what it would be like if a ship that cost thousands to be destroyed? I've seen some respawn numbers and in holosim ships respawn. If ships respawn and are not destroyed, then the price of ships go down once ships are allowed to be crafted. Maybe the modules are destroyed in a ship and not the ship hull? Maybe the crafting of modules is where the true value comes from? Maybe Star Atlas will never allow the current ships to be crafted, preserving their rarity and possibly their initial value? Maybe the stats for the purchased ships will be better than crafted ships?
Maybe the price of the current ships was more of a fundraiser for Star Atlas? A way to raise money to build the game? Much like Star Citizen did.
a lot of Maybe. it's new territory. the history of eve online & star citizen are two games that have dealt with these questions. but none have been on a blockchain before where a person has control of in game assets. that is unique to star atlas.

For a significant portion of ships sold previously, the team has more or less acknowledged that they won’t sell more. However, for some of the more recent sales, a good chunk of inventory remains. In addition, there are over 100 ships that are in the queue, waiting to be sold.

That said, all ships currently on the market, including Titan ships, will be craftable in-game. Now redemption was never in the cards, originally, so it is not entirely clear how the team will deal with that mechanic specifically.

Ship destruction will very much be a thing. It will only happen in the High Risk Zone, however. Which is not where players will start, so ever my one has the option to stay the hell out of there. It is, however, where the best loot is located. High risk, high reward! Now, there is destruction in the Medium Risk Zone as well, but that will only incur a repair fee. The Safe Zone should not see any fee either, though you may lose your shop for a short while.

The initial ship sales were meant to crowdfund the game development. The initial ship prices helped here, but were not necessarily meant to be temporary. It’s just that reality has now forced the team to adapt.

We were very lucky with our travel plans. We experienced a lot of rain during the first part of our trip, and also were quite close to the center of the island when one of the biggest disasters took place there. But we “only” experienced absolute insane rainfall that day/night.

We also experienced plenty of (partial) roadblocks in the form of trees, rocks, mud, when we traveled further south the next day. The scope of all the disasters that took place that night were completely unbeknownst to us at that time (and most locals, though our host was non-stop on the phone the morning after).

So, in short, we went south as the (then official) cyclone went north.. we actually have been enjoying a lot of sun the last week. Pretty weird when you (now) see and read about all the horror that took place further north 😣

If a person manages to reach level twenty when the airdrop campaign starts, he will start the game from level twenty. Is this true? That is not true, however, the amount of zXP it took to get level 20 in the testing season will carry over into the airdrop season. Same as your daily check in streak.

For the main Epic games version of the game you need a PC yes. However, you can play holosim/sage on a browser. Holosim is a F2P game requiring no assets. SAGE takes a sizeable investment to get going and be profitable.

Id suggest playing Holosim first and learning the ropes a little before diving into SAGE

Yes, its possible to qualify for the airdrop just playing the game. It will be based on total activity for all earning activities tho

This is a weight chart for zXP. Cant do all of this yet, but this is "supposed" to be what it looks like for airdrop season

as you can see, making purchases and staking coins give you the best zXP, but the games do give it.

A little confused I admit... I created a zink profile, associated it with main wallet. I am playing Sage (just crafting for the last 24), but dont see my xp changing.. I logged into UE5 to play, but did not see my xp change..

So... what is the trigger to get zink xp? Just logginging in via the zink dashboard? To get xp from UE5/Sage/locking, do you have to launch the programs or stake by initiating/clicking the links in the zink dashboard first?

Or can you go direct to UE 5 and sage without even going to the zink dashboard and in the background, zink will somehow catch your login and credit xp? Is it time based, action based, or transaction based? (sol fees, etc. while playing).

I have a lot of polis to stake, but want to make sure I get zink credit for it... once it is locked, there is no going back. 🙂

WIth less than 7 days til the epoch ends, I want to get in there asap.
