the top participant had something like 1.5% of all tickets, even having 10% of all tickets would not garentee winning something

think about it a 90% success rate in something on a game your going to do it and expect to succeed, if your given a 2% chance your going to expect to fail any given attempt

Diamonds/Rochinol/Arco and Titanium are the raws that are the most far from CSS and mining them takes a lot of time. So stockpiling them means you are stockpiling the most rare resources. With C4 will come so much more raws so we will see what they will be worth later on

Yes basically they are rare now but only useful to make a few advanced crafts which a few people might be producing for LP or contracts. So if you buy them you should know what these people would be willing to buy them back for. Probably not much margin to be made there.
And like ducatimo mentioned with C4 we are about to see an exponential increase in resources and recipes available. So who knows if these resources will become common or have more usecases.
