yeah, honestly a lot of stuff has been a mess just in general with websites forcing windows to do things at an os level, forcing ai into everything we do via search engines, its no surprise that web 3 stuff just breaks as web 3 relies on the services not being manipulated constantly to that extent

note a lot of that stuff gets force filtered to isps and what not and not properly documented because google does not actualy care about web 3

On a different topic... wondering if you know an answer.... On calls or in the foundation room have you heard anything new around components? I read some stuff a while back, but am wondering if you took a Large for example, and upgraded ALL components to Capital, would it function just fine with no drawbacks.. IE. "God" level for that ship?

I know they say you can upgrade some parts but have tradeoffs, but if all things were equally buffed, wouldnt that imply that everything just works at that level?

hmm not sure if we would be able to do that, I mean they might let us test it with the current public c4 tools but thats not ultimately anything because they can change that on a whim right now, I do know that the next ue5 update should include ship config type stuff for single player use off chain (the brew)

note some ships might have over-sized slots for stuff where multiple size components would work I would assume for now that the best thing would be to top tier proper sized components before trying to force size up components, not higher tier components that are sized up are likely to run better on lower sized ships that could take them

I am happy to say that the Marketplace is back up on at least one machine... While it is entirely possible that folks are having other issues, if you are using Chrome, Brave, Mozilla or any other browser based on Chrome, along with Windows as your OS, it is VERY highly probable that the auto security update done by Microsoft has affected your browser.

Here is what I got from Co-Pilot (the short piece... I guess issues are being reported widespread, and MS and/or Chrome will likely be rolling out a hotfix- The SSL protocol errors you’re seeing today across Brave, Chrome, and Firefox are most likely tied to a recent Windows 11 security update (KB5068861, installed Nov 12, 2025) that disrupted how browsers handle SSL/TLS handshakes. This update has caused widespread reports of ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, especially when accessing Google services like Docs and Drive.

I am going to guess a fix is being rolled out slowly... One of my machines is happy and can see SA again.. the other is still struggling... so I think anyone having issues around SSL should have them resolved in the next 24. If you are very urgent, you can roll back or do some other more intensive paths... but probably a good idea to go touch grass. 🙂

I've been struggling with SA for about a week using Edge in windows 11, stuck UI,hotwallet wont work, cant login to Atom etc.Just switched to my desktop windows 10 pc and everything runs perfectly so I presume its this windows 11 security update that is causing issues?

Thanks for flagging, @lost pollen. Malwarebytes is blocking synapse-jc.ngrok.dev because it’s an ngrok tunnel domain—those get auto-flagged a lot, even for legit apps.
Can you share the exact detection name/category from Malwarebytes (Detection History → Export) and whether it triggers in the browser or app? #ticket
In the meantime, don’t whitelist unless you’re sure you used the official HoloSim link. If it is the official endpoint, adding synapse-jc.ngrok.dev to Malwarebytes’ Allow List is a temporary workaround. We’ve also asked the devs to move off ngrok to a proper domain so this doesn’t keep happening.
