Hi, the tokens are used for two different things.

ATLAS is the reward token awarded to participants in the ingame economy. Currently for upgrading Starbases or completing faction infrastructure contracts.
ATLAS can also be locked to earn POLIS and benefit from reduced marketplace fees, soon they will introduce a lot more ingame advantages to locking ATLAS. Those advantages will be consequent enough that if you are a regular player you really want to lock at least SOME of your rewards.
ATLAS is also the currency of exchange within the game, all local market trades are executed in ATLAS, and ingame resources and consumables can only be traded in ATLAS on the galactic marketplace.

ZINK is the gas token for the new blockchain that Star Atlas will migrate to from Solana. ZINK token essentially replaces SOL, not ATLAS.

The game will not move to SUI. They will migrate to their own fork of Solana.

I think the burn will slow things down but it won't fix the main issue which is we need more buyers than sellers. Either through new entrants who need to buy and lock / spend ATLAS to get started, or they introduce some game mechanics with more RNG where not everyone can win but people are still tempted by the potential of big gains.
