Yes, it is possible to self-destruct. Imagine a fleet is rented without fuel, far away (not that I've ever done this with anyone, far from it ), you need to be able to self-destruct to reuse the fleet.
In the future, this will have serious implications with the burning of components, but for now, it works normally.

In Star Atlas, they've perfected this concept into what I like to call "trickle-down gaming"—where the whales swim in pools of liquid ATLAS tokens while the rest of us fight over the chlorinated backwash.
Chapter 2: Meet the Whales (Spoiler Alert: You're Not One)

Chapter 5: The Community (Or: Misery Loves Company)
The game's community is a fascinating study in collective Stockholm syndrome. We gather in Discord channels and Reddit forums, united in our shared delusion that this time will be different, this update will be the one that finally makes it all worthwhile.
We've developed our own language, our own culture. "HODL" isn't just a meme anymore—it's a prayer, a mantra, a desperate whistle in the dark. "Diamond hands" has become less of a trading strategy and more of a medical condition, because apparently we've lost all feeling in our extremities from gripping our worthless digital assets so tightly.

I don't think my target market is Star Atlas gamers. Probably not the kind of people that buy and read novels. I do have a marketing plan for the folks here though. First book is done I'm just probing and prodding here for material for the 2nd Chronicles. In your defense, I honestly agree with you. To someone like myself who expects little, am often not surprised when stuff like this happens. But to a new player (or even an OG who just hasn't come to terms with the current state of things) these types of issues can be quite frustrating. This is one of the main reasons I'm not speculating on anything that is not already in place (like C4 for example), because at the drop of a hat (literally) anything is subject to change.

I also firmly believe this is a by-product of to much transparency, feedback is not from the community as a whole in the form of surveys or anything like that, but rather just from a few very vocal players in private channels like FR chat. I like to think the team is objective about stuff like this, but when quick changes are made without warning, it's hard to know for sure that's the case.

You may want to create a ticket if the faction claims page is showing no stake claims and you can confirm the stake claim is in your wallet that's connected.

In my case, I can see a flash of my stake claims if I do a hard refresh on the page but then it goes away so something is definitely going on. I wonder if any others can confirm they see the same behaviour?

Good question, short answer is we don't know. But, I will say that C4 will likely be playable from a browser in 2D if they have also made it ready for UE5.

They won't nuke the browser UI if they do launch UE5 essentially.

No - All Armstrong ships do not require amm. Tips and Taps, especially in low ship numbers, run on quick cycles, especially if youre mining something like hydrogen

you can reduce the number of mining cycles (and thus the number of TX fees paid) by running it with larger ships. Running it with the larger armostrong imp is helpful in this regard

Imp Miner is a hybrid fleet that includes The Capital Armstrong along with the smaller Tip and Tap

Imp Miner 4 is only Taps

as you can see, the larger ship requires less runs/day by like 27% or something. Idk public math

I see what you're saying, that's a good point. Longer cycles mean less transactions per day. I was including the taps with some other ships that required ammo so I'm changing that and grouping the Armstrong together so that should help from that front. I need to be a little more efficient ever since food requirements sky rocketed

whatever your operations though are will have to factor into what youre doing

because conversely, if you consolidate all your mining into one fleet, that may not cover your resource needs

I'm mainly doing hydrogen right now but I was doing LP in the early days. I would love to move away from hydrogen and do something more fruitful (maybe that's doing components?) I think I need more cargo though.

We have 8 mining fleets right now but only 2 of them are really beefy with an additional 2 cargo fleets. A 9th mining fleet may come out of this after my reshuffling of ships.

I don't do any scanning right now either.

if you can find a hydrogen buyer thats steady, then maybe you might have luck

otherwise switch to carbon or make fuel are my two recommendations

alternatively, you can maybe farm Iron. as that is significantly slower cycles and you can sell the iron to a buyer who is gonna make FWs

I'm hoping once C4 is out my operations can be more stable. I find all the browser updates really disrupt my SLY operations. That being said, SLY is amazing, just hoping we have something that doesn't sit on top of the browser one day.

Take a look at Atom. Its a similar service that doesnt require you to have your computer on all day
