The entire economics of the game is going to change per the team. Nobody has any idea what C4 will look like. Ideally they will be eliminating most fees so smaller players will definitely have a way to earn and WAY more game loops.

No idea why jith is saying otherwise since nothing has been announced other than teases.

umm we know that smaller players are not going to be able to meaningfully directly participate in the capture of sectors, if the goal is to just earn they should be fine as combat adds burn, if the goal is to actually play thats a whole different story however we also know that ue5 is meant to capture those with the fewest assets meaning that unless you don't have a way to access ue5 (no decent computer) your likely going to be playing more in ue5 then c4 - I don't know whats so complex about that

note I did also mention joining a guild as that creates a lot more potential in c4 on its own

as guilds are going to have a ton of tasks that smaller players can participate in

All I'm saying is that there is a very real chance that the team is building loops for small players. To say otherwise is just speculating. You have no idea if you will need lots of assets to have an ROI with the next release. You are basing that on the current release. That's my point!

We go to something like AtlasNet with no fees then a single airbike could potentially make ROI. They could even do an RNG scan where there is a chance for a single bike to hit a random anamoly that sells for a high price. Again...we don't know.

personally i focus more on sage/fleet command, thats sort of the big picture, later when we get rts to fps you zoom into project galia i imagined, so doing a mission in a single ship probably is more something recreational, but i guess its good to have the perfect crew for it at that moment like flight skills and such if you 1v1 a pirate or something, but yeah the game is much bigger than that, production lines transport, resource extraction and so on, most people i know have tons of crew 🙂

Just my input on the townhall: I think making a new layer 1 Zink is a good thing for players to profit and not pay Solana fees and will be good for gameplay speed. My only concern is that Atlas and Polis holders and ship holders have held through a brutal 4 year bear market. I would have liked more bullish news on rewarding those holders especially with a possible alt season right around the corner. Introducing this token now seems like bad timing but I could be wrong would like to hear feedback.

Thing is coins pump in price because the vast majority of supply belongs to a few whales who manipulate the price and then dump on people buying the hype, but once a token like atlas and polis have been around for ages and the tokens are spread across everyone and everywhere and supply is inflating at all times (well in the case of atlas) there is no incentive for whales to pump the price

the advantage here is out the gate we have most of the validators so we can prioritize sa, also it will only be sa on the chain to start - moving forward this is likely not going to try to attract dex and things like meme coins etc because of the bridge and solana idealy being the more front facing part of the entire thing so we should be able to scale it out in a way where fees don't spike

Remeber it's not just POLIS, but PVP...so gotta lock it for long term to maximize value.

Also people need to not sleep on the value of locking $ATLAS. Goes towards airdrop plus you are frontrunning the locker addendum changes before they go mainstream.

I literally never locked my $ATLAS before but just locked a bunch to get tier 5 since it's longterm the best bet. Never was incentivised enough before.

You can earn free crew and zink airdrop by playing the UE5 game with no purchase. You can earn zink airdrop by playing Holosim with no purchase. You can earn a lot more in terms of $ATLAS (and also zink) by playing Starbased but that requires buying ships and/or crew (or just renting them via the rentals market).

There is no XP accrual just for owning ships (or ATLAS or POLIS for that matter -- they must be locked). And there's no XP for any historical activity. This is primarily focused on those mechanics outlined after XP tracking goes live in September. However, I will say, SAGE gameplay has a much higher weighting than UE or Holosim. So owning ships will in fact lead to higher XP accrual, and a larger airdrop.
