I wonder what is the team's idea regarding combat between ships and how it will be balanced. In Eve Online for example any smaller ship can kill carrier even solo (provided that someone else holds that ship in place) which is a joke. In SC players also laugh at the balance of the game because in PVP it is much better to have several people in small ships than the same number of people in one bigger ship with turrets.

That’s been heavily debated. In Star Atlas, balance will likely depend on more than just ship size, crew composition, module loadouts, and role specializations (combat, mining, transport, etc.) will all factor in.
A solo small ship taking down a fully crewed capital is probably not realistic. It’s less about raw size and more about how you build and use the ship — think counterplay, not rock-paper-scissors. Almost all the time, it will be fleets as well.,
I expect deeper mechanics than in EVE or SC, with coordinated crews and modules playing a huge role in combat outcomes. Its a nice topic for theory crafting with many different opinions, so other people will chime in here, I guess 🙂

Asking because for the SAGE browser game you need to have some blockchain knowledge, since that one is real time strategy and has a real market. Big learning curve as well and no shiny graphics as the UE5 game.

Let me send you a tutorial on how to start mining in SAGE, so you know one of the mechanics. In SAGE you can mine, craft, scan, trade the market, arbitrage, transport, etc. Complex game but with a real thriving economy.

if you are out in space, the only option is to self-destruct (as has already been mentioned)

But have no fear, self destruct doesn't actually destroy your ship, it just tows it to the CSS at a subwarp speed, so it takes abit of time, and ends up respawning at the CSS (however you do lose the cargo, and there is a 300 ATLAS cost)

Click "Hide/Show My Fleets Overview" to trigger a refresh,
List your fleet for rental and then cancel the listing,
Load or unload 1 unit of fuel from the affected fleet

Dom was amazing at coordinating everything, told us when to rush, when to retreat, when to gather somewhere.
And James is just a beast. Runs into the hornets nest, then you just hear “got one”, and he comes back as if it was nothing.
Stick was my shield. Whenever I got chased I hid behind stick, he took care of the rest.
And Swagner also played super decent. Came out of nowhere and just saved the day.
All in all they did a great job carrying me to the final 💪

Gameplay layers – UE5 modules (racing, FPS), SAGE browser economy, mobile extensions.
On-chain ownership – ships, land, posters, skins all tradable on open markets.
Social layer – guilds,, community events like Galia Game Nights or the Comet Meetup.
Governance layer – the DAO, treasury, and PIPs that let players steer development.
Because those pieces cut across every discussion (gameplay, economy, lore, DAO), we haven’t carved out a separate “#metaverse” channel. If we did, we’d just be duplicating half the chat.
That said, you’re 100 % welcome to talk about metaverse in any chat and dive as deep as you like— world-building, avatars, player-made venues, VR support, whatever. When a topic gets enough traction, we can always revisit the channel structure.
