I managed to move enough crew to man my main fleets with this very tedious procedure:
1- select a crew member, hit the transfer button
2a- if the wallet simulation is ok, reject and select another one, then repeat 1 until you have 6 selected. then transfer
2b- if the wallet simulation fails, reject and deselect the last crew. try the next and repeat until you have 6 selected. then transfer
Keep the console open and monitor the responses.
Even if there is an error, the message will tell you that it succeded. So pretty useless.

its rly odd showing 44 crew members as it should ( ship drop ) for this wallet , after refresh starts showing 79 ( total with ones that are bought additionaly ) creating fleets reduces crew members but assigning impossible so just short info if this didnt occured yet , now i have to go see ya in few days ...

it takes crew when you create a fleet it assigns random, since every crew in sage is still the same. every crew you have extra would be crafting or you can transport them to another station via the transport menu

i think you good, its really tough and depends what deals you get and so on, you maybe could check some benchmarks on cpu/gpu it looks like you want a workstation rather than a gaming pc but all the depends which programs you use most

I agree with vb that the CPU could be discussed. There are currently known issues with 13xxx and 14xxx series Intel CPUs causing stability issues.
Depends which software you use for other things. If these software does not explicitly benefit from Intel CPUs I would recommend considering about switching to AMD to avoid these issues.

Thinking into the future - what will crew progression look like?

Let's say I have 5 crew members that I'd like to train as Operators for the Performance Tuning perk.

1. I would first need to find a ship with an open Operator spot, so Medium or bigger (or an IMP Tip or VZUS Ambwe).
2. Engage in some activity with that ship.
3. Once the Performance Tuning perk is unlocked, rotate that crew member out and slot in the next one.

Questions:

• Does a crew member accrue XP separately for each Aptitude? Meaning they can only earn XP towards one Aptitude at a time?
• Will certain SAGE activities contribute towards specific Aptitude XP? Would just flying around in circles gain Operator XP?
• What is the expected progression timeline for a crew member to unlock the top perk in their major aptitude?
  • If a Pilot with +50% XP flies nonstop, how long should it take them to unlock Stealth?

The issue is the problems on Devnet tend to be different than the problems on Mainnet. So what that means is that when they get it working on Devnet they push it over here and then the Mainnet issues take over and they have to fix those next

when you do somethings in solana you pay a "rent" tax, tax this comes to you, mainly with fleets, but transactions, like "mine", stop mine, etc, these are gone, the game is profitable, but not that much like scams

Last try however, 0 where transferred.

Managed to get 30 across in 30 minutes. Set Phantom to auto confirm mode. Click 1 crew to transfer. If Phantom wallet pop-up shows, cancel and try again with another, random crew. When there is no Phantom wallet pop-up (transaction reverted) then the transfer succeeded. Usually after 5 tries I can get one over

Big hassle, but at least it is working. For 100 crew I estimate an hour work 😅

There are issues with how the rpc providers handle the cnft Merkle tree that the collections use. Each different provider has some conflict happening with how they handle the data from the tree. Team is working with rpc providers to resolve this

Apparantly the issue is with some specific Crew Cards. You could try different batches (of a smaller size) to try and isolate those cards for now
