We really should have steered away from the nonsensical "rarity" wording for these things. They can be more powerful, more expensive, fancier, more elegant, more stylish, etc - but that doesn't make them more rare.

Put together a common character with one element from each common trait and it's probably a 1 of 1 (there is no other with those exact same characteristics). How is that any less rare?

my though process here is:

1. Each crew should be unique despite of common, uncommon and rare stuff - purely by the variation/combination of all attributes
2. However you get a certain change to get different attributes. For example if you open a plat card you get a change to roll rare crew and that crew has a higher change to get more rare attributes ( say helmet that is epic class )

I come to my mind that we were also expecting higher roles on stuff like defense, hp, personality traits when we open a card/pack that is more rare. I don't think the hp, def stuff that were in the demos were implemented at all and the personality traits seem completely random rolls. I think they at least should have balanced the personality traits like a dnd character roll if they are not linked to rarity of crew.

Another project I was following did this and it caused all sorts of chaos. It seemed like the team intentionally skewed stats to make their "favorite" NFTs have a better rarity score, and thus more valuable.

As far as I know there is still no integration with SA in Unreal Engine for newly released crew. Currently you can:

1. Trade the crew on Tensor
2. Import/Export in and out of Sage Starbased

Utility in Sage is delayed until next week, that is when you should be able to use them for crafting and assign them to the ships.

If it is factoring in personality traits, it probably doesn't throw things off that much. Should be a pretty even distribution, so everything would be offset by a roughly equal amount.

The primary valuation is Overall Rarity reflected by number of Aptitudes. Id expect minor variations from that based on Command vs other aptitudes

but even something with a 1% chance of dropping is still 100,000 for a collection of 10 million
