Sure. Big open on chain MMO/RTS universe. Picture Eve Online but all the resources and assets etc. are real on chain assets.

I go and mine hydrogen, or scan for data, that’s actually happening on chain. The resources are unique tokens that I can sell or trade whenever I want.

Multi person economics team that designs and balances the universe for a sustainable and functional economy.

Roughly a year in to the on chain economy going live you can still do really well here, versus other things that tend to fizzle out in a few weeks or months.

You can play all the way zoomed out with armies of ships etc. like an RTS, or zoom in and play with single avatars and ships etc.

Like if you could zoom in on StarCraft and control single units etc.

Starbased is a browser game! easy to run... Personally, I would buy a mining ship that is at a reduced price and mine some resources with it in StarBased, and adjust strategies from there....

XP gain is THE reason/ambition inside of MMORPG gameplay...it's puts "Fun" in a game from traditional web2 gameplay

meaning that if we had 100% optimized crew out the gate that leaves no room to actually trade up

You’d play missions to farm mods and once you get a mod you spend money and resources to level up and some mods can get very resource intensive to level up but once you do you can sell on market for premium currency. It isn’t a very popular choice because of the long term diminishing returns but it is still something people on the lower end will do but of course top tier rare mods even unleveled can still catch a price but once you’re at that level people usually will farm it themselves instead of purchasing. But of course you have the people who don’t wanna do that work even at those end game levels

Small fighters right now. Have some of the best yields in the game because they are so discounted. It’s ironic they are built for warfare but due to being so in the toilet on price they are the best scanners in the game and awesome at mining too. You get it all.

And later when combat launches you’ll still be in the meta.

mining resources, crafting ships and being able to use them... it's beautiful... I enjoy playing, I don't even focus on profit... maybe I'll make a loss and I don't even realize it 🤣

It’s a gamble. Right now you can get roughly the same yields on newly bought ships as 5 year locked POLIS. And you don’t have to lock. POLIS could moon, but if it does ATLAS likely follows so ships do great too. If you just hold unlocked POLIS you’ll be bored to death and it might trade sideways on you forever and you could get annoyed, with ships you are at least active and earning sideways or not.

I’d get ships and compound gains into POLIS personally right now.

Could lock POLIS for 5 years and try to compound into ships, but feels slow and it’s a lot of commitment.

And just buying and sitting on liquid POLIS, you could. It’s just boring and you really aren’t a part of anything.

Can’t vote, can’t play. Just a speculator at that point.

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t, and you get no entertainment value out of it.

claim stakes produces 4 resources if to stake them in Faction Claims. They produce food, toolkits, ammo and fuel.

If you decide on what activity/ies you want to focus on, example, mining, scanning, crafting, etc. in starbased and you have the fleet to do this, you can try. there's a lot of things to consider though. You can still enlist your ships in Faction Fleets. This will be deprecated soon but no definitive time yet. And the ATLAS emission are already reduced significantly when Labs was released.
