still not worth it with single ship, two ships from that class would be fine, as you can see your atlas cost for tx stays the same. So you need about 80 atlas to cover it for single fleet. Then you have expenses on R4 per each type of ship - about 30-34. So you need 2 ships to cover for the tx and r4 expenses for them. And then each ship that you add will make you bout 45-50 atlas. But you need to cover the flat expenses first.

So yeah 3x Ambwee and more are ok to mine with. 1-2 Ambwee - either stay in faction fleet or check if you can make enough profit with crafting in based to do better than the passive atlas

a lot of it is the same

the only real diffrence is instead of just crafting to sell you put stuff in starbases for loyalty points

however a lot of what you should do depends on your size

Currently, starbase upgrades still require toolkits, right? It's only crafting that will run at a reduced speed with zero supplies?

Yeah, currently this seems like what we are getting for an rpc error. Not sure about the exact setup, but ironforge acts like a rpc proxy/loadballancer and distributes the rpc calls to different rpc endpoints. So if all of them fail for some reason ( or maybe if there are issues with ironforge setup at the moment ) you will most likely get that error.

There is an entry for custom rpc in the sage website code, you can attempt to override it and provide your own rpc endpoint to see if it will work, but most likely a temporally issue.

there is also another thing, previously the priority fees decision logic was solely dependent on Hellomoon as it was ( maybe still is ) the only provider that supports those api calls. There is a possibility that if the call to decide prio fees fails because of issues with hellomoon you can get that as an error, but at this point I am just guessing as I have not tested that

Thing is, other transactions seem to work fine (disbanding, forming, docking, undocking, etc). So I kind of suspect that the error I'm seeing is hiding something else.

I'm pretty sure this upgrade shouldn't be complete.

Could be the preflight ( simulation error ) - maybe we are expecting that it returns it as an error but instead returns general rpc error msg. Seems highly possible in your case. If you try the custom rpc override workaround you will be probably get a more definitive answer.

just following up - Darwiin says it's a front-end bug. The status won't update properly until toolkits are supplied. No clue what clicking that "Install to starbase" button was actually doing, but the crux of the problem is that the UI is showing an incorrect state.

In that case clicking the "Install to starbase" will try to create a tx to complete the installation but since it is not completed on chain should result in tx simulation error. So I guess Iron forge is also not returning the correct error message in that case. I guess either I got lucky with my previous installs or the fact that I timed all of them when there were already enough toolkits in the base for them to finish did the trick for me. So I assume the bug is actually:

1. You start an installation that will take lets say 2 hours to finish
2. The starbase however has toolkits that will only last for 1 hour
3. When the toolkits from the base run out the uppgrade will appear as finished after 2 hours, but will update correctly after new toolkits are supplied to the base and restart the timer from where it left off.
