Absolutely agreed. I’d love to see a way to use PVP in SAGE like reducing crafting times at a star base due to PVP being staked there. Like a “leadership score” that helps to buff other things and shows that some of the factions greatest leaders and influencers are present at the base helping motivate the crew and inhabitants. This might drive more demand and use which has of course been very good for the price of ships, but agreed it’s all unknowable 🤝

yeah, the biggest issue right now is 2 fold between the tech limitations that make needing new game ids every time something big changes and not having the full feature set on the player profile system

ie they can't truly bring in claimstakes if we need to manually shift all our assets to a new id via the css

I mean I don't think they are ready to do that yet regardless but still

the bigger tech limitation is more of the issue then it simply just needing more time in the oven

Just my personal biased opinion I’d watch the last breakpoint we did for starters. Then get a game code and check out UE5, then watch the most recent brew we had on YouTube with Chypto and Chris, then check out Never Alone for free prizes and items. All without spending anything.

From there you’ll know better how you’d like to spend any money you might want to use etc.

Mining resources is very specific. It is based on the Resource Quantity (R1; 1.5; 2) and the Hardness (Similar "H" Quality)

Scanning is per the rating in the Sector. Eveeye (Google) and you can see the entire Galia Expanse with system ratings and if you put your wallet in the "Profile" you can see where your fleets are.

Depends on what you're trying to do? Phantom is just an interface, but everything works the same. You just manually sign every tx on the ledger

If you haven't already, you'll need to create a profile on the star Atlas page, choose a faction, etc

Those that do SDU scanning, how does the XP work? If you have 10 ships in a fleet, is it 10x XP per scan? Or does it scale with crew size? Or is it silly and it counts as one scan regardless of size?

Make sure overview is turned on.. it should show any deployed fleets.. but ships in CSS that aren't in fleets won't show up that way. You have to manually go to each station and either go to crafting to see if you have crew OR try to form a fleet.

any chance they are still in the old version of the game? If they are still in Labs v1 you will need to export them to wallet and then import them in new game id in Starbased:

If you are a small Fleet you could burn through more Fuel and Ammo than what you are bringing back per ATLAS. Just need to crunch the numbers to see what works best for you and your Fleet.

Ship type matters, but with 9 Ships equaling 13 crew you have mostly XXS with a couple XS is seems. Probably best to stick close to CSS for now. Mining Hydrogen and crafting Fuel is gonna be your best bet until you can scale up. Could also maybe venture out to the middle of the map and do some scanning for SDUs as well, but you definitely need to be running scripts/automation for that.

SDU's are mostly located in the middle of the map. Need to venture to the middle via subwarp and scan open spaces. The closer to the middle you are the more dense the SDUs are. Look for open spaces are you will be competing against other ships.

Oh, just mine Hydroden at the CSS. You need Food and Ammo...make sure you only have just enough in your cargo to keep space for the Hydrogen. Fill your Cargo, stop mining and transfer it to the CSS. Once there you can Disband your Fleet and use your crew to craft the hydrogen into Fuel.

plans are always in flux but as of right now you wouldn't need to pay. There are always some priority and VIP experiences in which case people might be paying extra in terms of their ships storage. i.e. parking closer to the center of css for less time traveling.
