Yes, someone outbid my offer, so I quickly tried to place a lower one, but because there is no pop-up for the lowest price like in SA, I had to enter the amount manually, I entered 1 extra zero accidently, and left to do my work, when I came back I discovered that the order was filled, happily I opened my wallet only to find 1/10 of the amount I should have recieved, so when I checked the logs I realized the horrible mistake I made.

I see there being way more of a strategic advantage to not displaying component tier rarities when encountering a ship at a glance especially in PVP situations. I think the classic gear farming grind is definitely going to be alive and well here. Like we were talking about most ships start with T1 everything and it goes all the way up to like T10.

So people will be grinding their asses off just for materials to try to craft things like ascendant blah blah blah.

All it takes is making it so some materials for critical recipes can only be earned or found in UE5 content.

People will grind raids just to chances at drops etc. just like any MMO.

The only thing I foresee being a limiting factor is your power core, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Like, I think it would be unrealistic to have all components of an XXS ship be anomaly. however, I could foresee that if you wanted an XXS racer, getting your maneuvering thrusters to anomaly should be possible, and if you want a fighter, you would focus on the weapon hardpoints being anomaly, etc.

Seems like some components like the warp drive have no utility for racing according to the current ue5 version. Also power core is swappable component so it also have tiers. Another mechanic you have is the ability to distribute the available power between subwarp engine, shields and weapons

right, I think the determining factor is that all hardpoints are currently specified on marketplace right ? I mean, maybe subject to change, but some medium ships have at least XS hardpoints, so it's just a matter of making sure it has that size hardpoint on the ship for whatever component you're looking at. But yes, that doesn't makes sense to fit whatever class (size) of component you please.

Yeah this is a really complex thing. Idk exactly. Like f4 has an oversized warp drive too. Like in one convo a while back they said something along the lines that modules are swappable but not components. Maybe certain things will be swappable idk. Maybe it has to match the size so for example to swap a warp drive on a f4 you need a large component but then again they made it feel like these components are ship size specific. The entire thing is still rather confusing for me

it makes sense to be able to swap modules around. if you have a ship that has 2 medium ammo modules, and 1 medium cargo module, you could swap out the 2 ammo modules for 2 more cargo modules, turning your fighter into an expensive, fast cargo ship.

cargo mods may come with things like speed reduction for fighters as they cary more mass

remember the stats we see in sage are the aggregated stats for the moduals etc

That is what will truly liven the game up early stage, tbh. Would like to see fuel modules affecting warp distance.

Starbased is meh but you can jump in and slowly build up a ton of ammo and fuel for later so you won’t have to play to pay for a while in Ue5

The entire situation is just shit. IMO, Trump voters are only voting for him because the entire system is broken and he's seen as their only hope. And lets be honest, he might be.
