On the small player issue: small players have a place: UE5. Small players could be regarded as the actual players of the game. Monetize UE5, and you have adoption. And it's happening.
An economic loop game where there are assets worth over $1m will never be able to accommodate tiny players, because by doing so, you create the possibility of bigger entities exploiting whatever mechanics are put in place for tiny players.
It's harsh, but reality.

Scanning was a good example. People asked for a "gamefied" mechanics. Look where it took us...

I had a closed loop at some point in labs, it was working pretty well. I will be more focused on min/maxing my xp gains in starbased when I am able to craft stuff and scanning changes.

I was able to make a closed loop for a buddy with 10x x4, 10x Unibomba and 1x lowbie - was running pretty good too.

I doubt I will be able to make such loop in based, because I would need to take into consideration supplying the bases. But still, as a small player I would now focus to trying to hit the xp limit per day and not that much on the return of investment.
